Unexpected love

Chapter 20

Chris POV

The guys and I went to Lilian's house to pick up the girls. Today's was Cindy's wedding and mass starts at 5pm. As we went inside  Lilian's house I could tell there was something wrong with Lilian. Her friends also had a different facial expressions. Lilian was quiet throughout the whole ride. As we reached the church I couldn't take her silence anymore.

"Lilian, babe whats bothering you?"

"Nothing, I'm just tired. The girls and I went to sleep pretty late last night."

"Alright, then. If you would like we could leave?"

"No it's fine let's go."

I opened the door for her and I kissed her forehead. "Have I told you how beautiful you look."

Lilian just smiled and grabbed my hand. "Let's go we're going to be late."

I grabbed Lillian's face and kissed her. "You know it wouldn't matter if we're late, how about we stay in here a bit."

"No Chris, let's go."

After mass was over I still had a feeling Lilian was either hiding something from me. She's never that quiet and I had to find out what was going on.

I asked he if she wanted us to go home and rest. "No it's fine let's go to their party. "

As we reached the wedding venue, Lilian sat with her friends and I was left to sit with Erick and Andres. It made me mad to how she was acting to distant with me throughout the whole party.

As Cindy and her husband ended their first dance. My parents showed up and my mother sat with the girls and my father sat with us. The music started and everyone started dancing and my friends took Lilian's friends to dance. I approached Lilian and my mother who were sitting together and grabbed her hand. "Mother, I'm going to take Lilian out to dance"

"Go ahead, I'm going to go get your father too I want to dance as well!"

I took Lilian to the dance floor and pulled her really close to my body. I wanted to make sure all the men who were looking at her earlier knew she was with me.

"I hope my mother didn't annoy you with some stories."

"Not at all she's a really nice person."

"I'm glad you guys got alone well"

"She's really sweet and funny."

"Yes, she is. Babe, I know something is bothering you. Is there anything I can help?"

Should I tell him that I'm pregnant or what should I do? Oh make up another lie Lilian! I thought to myself.

"I do, but it's not the right place to talk about it."

"Fine then let's go."

"Chris, we cant leave just like that."

"Well stay a bit longer than."

Soon we left and told everyone goodbye and decided to head towards my house instead of hers. As we reached to my house I could tell something was wrong. The gate door was open; which is never open?

"Oh my god, look it's your driver. He has blood all over him!"

"Stay in the truck and call 911."

I got off the truck and looked to see if my driver was okay. "Chris, I tried stopping that man."

"Jacinto, don't move your going to be okay.

"Please, Chris don't go inside he's in the house."

"Who's in the house?"

"Hello Hernandez, I heard behind me along with a gunshot."
