Unexpected love

Chapter 1

I was so exhausted from a long day at work and all I wanted was to see my fiancé. I wanted to surprise him so I decided to buy some Chinese food and drove up to his house.

As I was getting close all I had in mind was "soon we will be husband and wife".

Raphael and I had recently gotten engaged a month ago so we were working on setting up a date for our wedding along with the preparations.

As I was approaching to the entrance I saw two cars which one was Raphael's and the other car seemed familiar, but I couldnt think where I had seen this car. I then unlocked the door and walked in the front door and walked in the kitchen to drop off the food and went looking for Raphael. As I looked everywhere downstairs I decided to go upstairs. I heard some noises coming from his room. I couldn't believe my eyes it was my own assistant Brianna and Raphael.

"Lilian, babe I can explain " said Raphael and walked towards me.

I slapped him and threw my engagement ring to Raphael.

"Save your excuses, I never in my life want to see you again."

"As for you Brianna, you can forget about going to work and your paycheck.

I rushed out of his house and got in my car. I cried and cried as I was driving. I still could not believe what I had seen. Who would have thought my Raphael would cheated on me with my assistant Brianna.

As I was about to reach my house and received a call from my best friend Jessica and looked at the missed calls and text messages from Raphael.

"Lilian, I just got a call from your dumbass dude asking if you were with me. Is everything alright?"

"Jessica, you would not believe what happened earlier! I found Raphael and Brianna together at his house"

"Honestly, girl I told you to keep an eye for that dumbass boyfriend of yours!

"Yes, I know. I should of listened to all of you!  I was truly in love with him. I don't know what to do."

"Girl, I'll be at your house in a few so don't do anything stupid!"

I heard several knocks at the door and assumed it was Jessica, but thought wrong it was Raphael.

"I told you I never wanted to see you, and I slapped him again."

"Babe, please we need to talk about us and fix this misunderstanding."

"No, forget it. We're done!"

"Babe, please give me a second chance plus our wedding, we can't cancel that."

Thank goodness Jessica came near and carried a baseball bat and threatened Raphael to leave or she would beat the crap out of him.

"I'll leave, but please Liliana think about us and our wedding. I'll be back when you have a fresh mind."

"Leave my best friend alone and don't you dare come near her or I'll get my body guards on you!"

Raphael then left. Jessica and I went to the living room and I cried myself. I thank god Jessica was with me because if I would have went straight to my  parents they would have given me the "I told you speech".

Jessica and I talked about telling my parents or making up a lie, which eventually I would have to tell  them the truth.

My father never agreed my relationship with Raphael. Father always thought Raphael was more interested in our company and would talk me in about leaving him. As for my mother, she would always take my side and help me out when father disagreed with something.

I had never thought my life would change from a happy engaged woman to a heart broken woman in a matter of hours.
