Unexpected love

Chapter 26

2 months later...

I had woken up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and after I was done I couldn't fall back asleep. I decided to go downstairs and get something to drink or maybe a snack. Just as I made my way out of our bedroom door. Chris woke up.

"Lilian, sweetheart where you going?"

"I'm going to get something to drink or a snack."

"I'll get it for you, babe. You stay in bed."

"Chris, babe I can walk down to the kitchen there's no need for you to go."

"Fine, but let's both go."

Ever since I was kidnapped Chris has been extremely overprotective. It's actually a miracle I can use the bathrooms by myself at times.

When it comes to doctors appointments he usually takes the whole day off work and has two bodyguards with us. I mean it's nice to have protection, but Chris is taking it to the next level.

After I was done eating my cheese cake I washed my dish and grabbed a glass of milk. Chris on the other hand, was on his laptop and looking at some work documents.

"I'm done babe."

He smiled and came towards me "Did our princess enjoy the cheesecake and the glass of milk?"

"She sure did." I touched my stomach and smiled.

"Let's get you both back to bed"

With that being said I turned around and started walking, but Chris carried me bridal style and went up the stairs.

"Babe, you know I can walk."

"Yes I know, but I like to carry you."

I've also been noticing he's been acting a bit more romantic with me. He's been taking me out lately to go eat out. And, buying several different kind of desserts.

It was already morning and the sun was out. I looked beside me and Chris wasn't nearby. They only thing near was a rose and a card.

"Good morning beautiful,
I had to leave to work, if you need anything please call me or let Rita know. Also, there's a dress on the nightstand here, please wear this for dinner along with the other accessories in the box. I love you both.
-Chris"

With that message, I looked at the box near the nightstand and smiled. "Well, my little princess your daddy also bought you something. I talked and rubbed my stomach, as she moved."

I took out a small box of white chocolate along with the dress and accessories.

The day ran by fast and it was almost 6:30 when I was done getting ready. Rita came up to our room and said the driver was ready.

I felt really confused because has been super protective these past two months and he's having the driver taking me without no body guards?

Fifteen minutes later the driver dropped me off at this beautiful decorated western house. There were rose petals scattered in one direction so I assumed I should follow them.

I was greeted by two pair of hand behind me and a lovely voice. "My god, you are looking beyond beautiful especially with our bundle of joy growing inside you."

"Oh honey, you really think so?"
I felt my eyes get watery. Gosh these hormones are killing me with all these mixed emotions.

As we sat eating dinner, dessert was brought a plate covered. I actually thought it was a strawberry cheesecake I since Chris knew it was my favorite!
Chris stood up and uncovered the covered plate.

"Lilian,
"My Lilian, I've discovered to love again with you, not only to love, but the meaning of having someone to cherish, to laugh, and to live with. Ever since I've met you. There's no one else my heart desires, but you. I would love to have you as my wife and mother of our daughter and future children. Would you do me the honor of being my wife, my love?"

"Yes! Yes! I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
