The Numbness I Felt

Chapter 5

I take them to backstage because it is unlocked and no one is back there usually I look around and see no one except us. The sigh as I sit down in a chair.

"Why here Ace?" Skull's tone was just worry.

"It is something that I don't like to talk about ok." I say numbly.

"Ok what is it?" Ashley says with a stern face.

"I am going back to some old ways that I am not proud of." I say with a frown.

"What?" Skull says, but Ashley instead gets up.

"Ace please tell me you didn't." She had a few tears in her eyes.

I lift up my shirt to show my bandages side where you can see some dry blood still on my fur. Ashley's eyes grew and she grabbed me and hugged me despite my yelp.

"That hurts me stop please." I say as Ashely wipes her eyes and the tear marks on her fur.

"I just don't want you to do that again Ace." Ashley says to me with a worried face.

"Ok true question why would you do it." Skull says confused.

"I don't want to talk about it but Ashley might have something to tell you." I say avoiding the subject as Ashley glares at me.

"I uh Skull I-I have a crush on you." Ashley says bright red as I smirk.

Skull was speechless as I walk out waving to them going back to the choir room for class. After pulling my shirt down of course. After a bit the two walk in holding hands. A few people in class look and one girl hands a guy $20. Looks like I wasn't the only one betting or shipping. I grab my choir folder and go to my section and set down my folder on my chair and walk over to the two.

"So you hit it off finally." I say smirking.

"You really has to change the subject and leave just know that won't work next time." Ashley says to me.

"Yeah sorry about that," I scratch the back of my head, "Well I am just going to go to my seat bye."

I speed walk to my seat and sit down after putting my folder under my chair. Class goes somewhat smoothly, a Soprano kept going flat. My next class we had a mini quiz to test our simple thinking skills and that was very odd. Civics we talked about economics and noticed Carter was in the class sitting in front of me. And after class we walked together talking as we head to the library. We sign in and decided to play another match of chess.

"So about yesterday sorry about everything after school my mind hasn't been the straightest." I say moving a pawn.

"It is ok I actually could tell something was up." Carter said smiling.

"Yeah I mean at least I got to help my friend today get together with her crush." I say smiling lightly.

"Um about yesterday I was wonder did you hear the woman screaming or just me." He looks worried.

"I heard a light scream, but I thought it was my head." I say knowing I could have been a spirit of person.

"Ok but I thought on last night when you said I was cute and was wondering if that was true." He says blushing a bit.

"I-I d-d-do think t-that." I shutter out not thinking. He started blushing more and I started to blush too.

"So um I-I want to t-talk with you after school about something." Carter says before putting me in check.

"Sure, but I have Theatre." I say.

"Oh cool I planned to go, but not do the tour." He says with his tail wrapping around his leg.

"I mean that is fair it is kind of boring." I say smiling.

We conversed together while play chess and then I decided to let him win by purposely taking out my Queen and knight which hurt. My classes after where uneventful really. The theatre club shows for the year sounded fun. 'A Midsummers Night Dream', The freshman sophomore play, 'The Little Mermaid', 'Until The Flood', and 'Little Shop of Horrors'. I walk out of the theatre when Carter grabs my arm and pulls me off to a practice room and closes the door.

"Ok about what I needed to tell you." He said a bit quick.

"Yes?" I say.

"I think I might have a crush on you Ace." Carter is blushing so much that his fur looks crimson. He put his paws on him muzzle in embarrassment.

I was speechless and my tail started to wag and I grabbed his paws and moved them to see him looking a bit worried. I kiss him and after a bit he kisses back. My tail starts wagging faster then the kiss breaks and I look him in the eyes.

"Don't worry I feel the same I thought you wouldn't feel the same." I say blushing.

"Umm here is my number by the way I think your tail is going to fall off cutie." Carter says smiling.

I take the price of paper and grabbed his paw after my tail stopped wagging so much and we walked home and when we got to my house I said to Carter.

(Had to go a bit faster ironically this is kind of how my first relationship started but I won't ramble about my Ex.)

"Want to come in with me?" I say.

"Sure Ace." He says smiling.

I unlocked the door and took him to my room. I put my backpack in the corner of my room as he looks at my room in awe. Carter looks at my electric piano and then me then my painting room.

"You have such a cool room!" He exclaimed.

"I guess you like it." I smile.

He then hugs me making me yelp because he hit my cuts. He looks at me worried.

"I am sorry I didn't mean to hurt you." He looked worried.

"It isn't your fault you didn't know." I say as I take of my shirt and take out my first aid kit.

"OMG Ace are you ok?" He says worry now in his face.

"Yeah I am just healing from something." I say taking of the bandages and wipe up dry blood seeing that the cuts scabbed over.

"Please tell me something Ace did you do that to yourself?" Carter's face had only worry.

"Yes I did and I regret it." I say blankly putting stuff away.

This turned out well I am writing some chapters early it is the day before Thanksgiving and I have wrote 3 chapters so far. I just Love writing away any pain don't you?  Sorry I just am trying to find another way to get out some stress and stuff since I cannot find my punching bag. Hope you have a wonderful evening.
