The next week or so flew by in a hurry, and Scarlett was putting off packing for as long as she could. "Babe, you know you're gonna have to pack soon right? You leave in two days." Jeremy told her. Scarlett stared at the ground as she felt his strong arms snaking around her small waist.
"I know, but I just want to spend as much time with you as I can until I have to go." Scarlett said quietly, turning to hug him. Jeremy knew she had sat up multiple nights crying because she didn't want to go. Of course he sat up with her those night to comfort her and tell her it was all okay.
"We've spent the last couple of days together, Scar. Ive not seen any other person for four days other than you and that pizza guy." Jeremy said softly, kissing the top of her head. "You have to pack sooner or later. Lets get it out of the way now." He soothed.
Scarlett broke away from his hug, walking to the stairs. "You sound like you can't wait until I'm gone." She mumbled before walking up the stairs. Jeremy watched the ground, rubbing the back of his neck. Their relationship was delicate at the moment. They were just coming down from the Honeymoon stage.
Scarlett sat on their bed, staring at the empty suitcase that lay there. She sighed with determination as she stood up and walked to the wardrobe, packing for every destination. She was dreading it, but she knew she'd get used to it sooner or later. With or without Jeremy.
Speaking of the devil, Scarlett could hear him walking up the stairs to her, knowing he'd help her. "Cone to help me pack so I can leave quicker?" She quipped. Jeremy sighed.
"That's not fair.' He told her, instantly looking down with the look she shot him. He soon decided he was standing his ground and met her deadly gaze. He knew he had pissed her off.
"Not fair?! Me?!" She asked, setting down her clothes. "No, Jeremy. Whats not fair is that you're willing to let me travel across the world on my own to live there for six months, on my own when you could of easily agree to come with me!" Scarlett told him.
"I want to work, Scarlett. Do you not see that? What am I supposed to do whilst you're out for the day working and shooting scenes, huh? Sit in the hotel and bore myself to death?!" Jeremy argued. Scarlett began pacing slightly.
"I know you want to work, but for just six months you couldn't take the time to come with me and support me?" Scarlett asked, her eyes studying.
"You know it's nothing like that, Scarlett!" Jeremy told her. "I asked if they could push my auditions back. I asked okay? Is that not good enough for you?" Jeremy pressed on.
Scarlett watched the ground, her eyebrows furrowed in frustration. "I wish it was, Jeremy." Scarlett told him. Jeremy looked at her incredibly confused. "I need someone who can be there for me when I need them." She told him.
Jeremy sighed, rubbing his forehead. "You need to realise I won't always be there, Scarlett. The world doesn't revolve around you." He told her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Scarlett snapped, Jeremy rubbing the back of his neck. "Leave me alone. I can pack on my own." She murmured, turning her back to him to hide the glistening tears in her eyes.
Jeremy had already seen them and he felt terrible. They hadn't fought in so long and it just felt wrong. He knew what he said was harsh, and he really didn't mean it. It just.. slipped out. Jeremy didn't say another word. He just walked out of the room and down the stairs and sat on the couch.
The hours until Scarlett had to leave dragged along until the day arrived. The two hadn't spoken and slept apart. They both felt it was best because they didn't want to argue. The house felt empty. Of physical presence and emotion.
When it came to leaving, Scarlett grabbed her suitcase with teary eyes, wiping them with the heel of her hand. She took a few breaths before walking to the door. "Scarlett." Jeremy said, practically running to her. She swallowed hard and looked up to him.
Both them were nervous wrecks. They hadn't even looked at each other. Scarlett watched as Jeremy advanced towards her, cupping her cheeks with both hands to gaze into her eyes. Scarlett's hand rested over one of his. "I love you. Im sorry." He whispered before kissing her softly, it was tender and loving. Everything Jeremy could think of saying was all in that one kiss.
Scarlett's eyes closed as she began to kiss him back, glad they managed to get on each others good side before she left. "I love you, and Im worry. I was being a bitch." She murmured.
Jeremy shook his head, wrapping her in a hug. "No you weren't. Not at all." He whispered, kissing the top of her head. "Now go make amazing movies." He smiled, kissing her lips before she left.
Scarlett took off to the airport, feeling extremely nauseous. She boarded the plane with no problems and flew for 18 hours to her first destination.
