Walking into a rather muscular chest, Scarlett took a few steps back after steadying herself. She looked up to see a familiar face. A very familiar face. "Ryan!" Called a feminine voice. The two watched each other quietly, before Ryan's eyes looked down to Scarlett's rather noticeable bump. Ryan and Blake had beat her with getting married, but defiantly not pregnancy. His shock was doubled when he saw her diamond engagement ring. "There you are babe." Blake smiled after finding her husband, her smile fell once she saw Scarlett. She couldn't look her in the eye, dropping her gaze to the floor. The woman had certainly tried to throw Ryan's ex wives name into the gutter, though her efforts never succeed. Scarlett looked over to Blake, looking her over with an expression of disgust before turning on her heel and walking back to Jeremy in the next isle. Scarlett didn't need words to express herself. Ryan watched after her before she was out of sight, Blake grabbing his arm and pulling him away.
"You saw them, huh?" Jeremy said softly, as Scarlett stood deadly silent at his side, looking over newborn bottles.
"You knew they were here?" Scarlett looked up to him, her blue eyes studying him.
"I saw them walk in when you went to see the teething rings." Jeremy told her, wrapping his arm around her. "Anything happen?" He asked worriedly.
"No. I bumped into Ryan. We didn't talk until his skank of a wife turned up. She wouldn't look at me." Scarlett told him, holding onto him as she added the bottles into the basket. "Why were they even here?" She muttered.
"Ryan's brothers girlfriend or whoever is having a baby. I heard them talking when they walked in. A present for a baby shower or something." Jeremy shrugged. "But I wasn't paying much attention, y'know." He shrugged which made Scarlett smile a little. Jeremy kissed her head softly which made Scarlett look up to him. Jeremy smiled softly, kissing her soft lips, which she returned happily.
Ryan walked by, looking at Scarlett almost longingly. They had both opened up about their divorce, saying they still had love for each other, but drifted away because of work schedules. They just didn't have time for each other.
Scarlett rested her head on Jeremy's shoulder once she pulled away as they looked for pacifiers. "I like the animal ones." She pointed to the red, yellow and blue pacifiers with a hippo, snake and elephant on them.
Jeremy nodded softly. "They look good." He agreed, adding them to their half full basket.
"I'll go find some soft toys for the nursery." Scarlett told him, nodding when Jeremy looked at her as if he was saying 'are you sure'.
"Alright." He said softly, squeezing her hand gently before she walked away.
On arrival, Scarlett instantly saw a little Iron Man stuffed toy. Smiling to herself, Scarlett held onto it, to make Robert happy. Unfortunately, she couldn't find a Hawkeye nor Black Widow one. Scarlett stopped herself from pouting, instead picking up a little fluffy stuffed toy. Either a duckling or a chick. It was so adorable and Scarlett couldn't resist. "I wanted to say congratulations." Ryan's voice spoke from next to her.
Sighing, Scarlett began to walk away before he reached out and carefully held her arm. "Listen to me, Scar. Please." His voice was almost desperate sounding. Rolling her eyes, Scarlett turned back to him. His expression seemed pained, but he was probably just jealous, because she was finally happy with someone Ryan was afraid of losing her to.
"What?" She asked, her tone was so harsh. She didn't ever appreciate people who tried to ruin her career, or prevented her from being happy.
"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry." Ryan told her, his hold not ceasing. Scarlett looked away, not giving him the satisfaction of letting his meaningless words affect her. "It was nothing to do with me, Scarlett. I never said you were jealous." He told her.
"Blaming it on your wife. Good move." Scarlett said, pulling her arm free before beginning to walk away. "Asshole."
"Hey! I've been a jerk, I'll give you that but I'm certainly not an asshole." Ryan told her.
"Really? When I wasn't allowed to go to dinner with Jeremy who was my friend at the time, because you had a "bad feeling about him"? You're jealousy was not attractive, and I didn't care for it." Scarlett told him. "If we both weren't here today, you would of happily carried on, you're only talking to me because you've seen I've moved on. I'm with someone I love. Someone who supports me and the decisions I make. You're doing this because I'm happy." Scarlett told him.
"So I can't clear the water between us?" Ryan asked.
"There is no water to clean. That lake dried up long ago when you tried to take everything I had right from under my feet." Scarlett told him, walking away from him. She didn't glance back to see Ryan rub the back of his neck, pulling from Blake who appeared at his side.
Practically throwing the toys into the basket, Scarlett crossed her arms over her bump. "I want to go home." She said quietly.
"Are you sure? We still have a lot to get." Jeremy said softly, looking down to see Scarlett looking up to him with watery eyes. He nodded. "Okay, okay. Let's go pay then I'll take you home." Jeremy soothed, holding her close, Scarlett practically clinging onto him.

Once they were home, Jeremy gave Scarlett the keys and told her to go ahead whilst he got the bags.
Carrying them quickly inside, he set them in the living room before finding Scarlett in the kitchen, making herself coffee. He wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his hands on her bump. "Tell me what happened, babe." He said soothingly, resting his head on her shoulder.
"When I went to get the toys, Ryan followed me, trying to act as though he cared still." Scarlett began. Jeremy knew her past love was a sensitive subject. Especially since it was a time when her personal images were leaked online. Ryan and Jeremy had both helped her through that terrible time. "We just started to argue again, just like we used to when we were together." She shook her head. As hard as it was for Jeremy to hear, he stayed there with her, simply because he wanted her to have him there to hold her.
Jeremy turned her around and held her close to him. "Make your coffee, and I'll go run you a bath so you can relax, okay?" He said softly, to which Scarlett nodded silently. She watched the work surface as Jeremy left to run her a bath.
