We Found Love

Chapter 27

Waking up in an empty bed, Scarlett sighed softly to herself, rubbing her ageless face free of her sleep. "Jer?" She croaked tiredly, waiting a few moments for an answer. With none, she grew worried. "Jeremy?" Scarlett called, getting up and wrapping her night robe around her as she went down the stairs, checking the kitchen to find no sign of her fiancé.

Growing increasingly worried by the second, Scarlett searched the entire house for Jeremy, to find no sign of him. "God.." Scarlett breathed in a panic, holding her forehead with one hand and her bump with the other.

Scarlett must have paced in her room for roughly 15 minutes, before she heard the door open. She rushed to the stairs to see Jeremy holding a lot of paper bags with the McDonalds logo printed on them and also a drinks tray containing two large paper cups. "Scarlett? Babe?" He called as he set the bags on the coffee table followed by the cardboard tray. Jeremy turned just in time to see Scarlett flying at him and tackling him in a tight hug. "Woah, what's brought this on?" He asked, wrapping his arms around her.

Scarlett shook her head quietly, burying her face in his chest. "I thought you'd left." She whispered. Saying it made Scarlett realise how silly she was being. Jeremy rose his eyebrows, stepping back and cupping her chin gently.

"Scar, that is something I would never, ever do to you and our baby." Jeremy told her, kissing her lips then her forehead before pulling her into another hug. "I love you both too much." He whispered, resting his chin on hers.

"I know, I was being silly." Scarlett shook her head softly. "But you could of left a note or something." She whispered, fiddling with his shirt.

"I thought you'd still be sleeping by the time I got back. I wanted to surprise you." Jeremy told her. "Otherwise, I would have written you a note." He said, playing with her blonde hair.

Once the two talked their predicament out, Jeremy sat Scarlett on the couch, draping his jacket over her shoulders. For some reason, lately she had found Jeremy's scent intoxicating, and just couldn't get enough of it.

Now she knew how had Jeremy felt for the past couple of years.

"You really went out to McDonalds to treat me to breakfast in bed?" Scarlett grinned, looking to Jeremy who was nodding as he separated their food.

"Yep. I know you'd be craving something more filling for breakfast, and I'm no Chef, so I figured, why not treat you?" Jeremy told her, drinking some of his coffee.

"You're so perfect. You know that?" Scarlett smiled, resting her hand on his from beside him.

"Says the mother of my child and my future wife." Jeremy chuckled, kissing her hand gently which earned him another hug. "I love you baby." He smiled.

"I love you too, Jer." Scarlett smiled, kissing his cheek before sitting back against the arm of the couch where she found it more comfortable.

Once Jeremy handed Scarlett her breakfast, he allowed himself to eat his own. "You know the scans this month?" She said softly as she ate. "We can find out the sex.. if you want to?" She asked, looking to Jeremy.

"Hey, don't make me decide for the both of us." Jeremy shook his head. "Here's what I think. A surprise would be nice, but it would be nice to know the sex so we know how to decorate the nursery, and also names and stuff." He told her.

"Sounds good." Scarlett nodded, fur drinking her tea. "So shall we find out the sex, and maybe if we have any more children, to have it a surprise then?" She suggested.

Jeremy smiled brightly at the thought of her makings possible future plans, that actually included him and the possibility of more children. "Yeah. Yeah, I like it." He nodded with a grin.

"Okay." Scarlett smiled, drinking her tea and actually finishing it. "Aw." She pouted when she realise there was no more. Jeremy laughed softly, reaching over and getting the other cup which also had tea.

"I knew getting you two would be a good idea." Jeremy chuckled as Scarlett gently took it from him. Having tears in her eyes. He actually found it cute when she got a little over emotional.

"Aw." She smiled, hugging him tightly and kissing his lips repeatedly which was just heaven for Jeremy. He pouted at her with puppy eyes when she pulled away. Scarlett just giggled, grinning as she sipped her new cup of tea and then began to eat again.

Scarlett cuddled into him, turning on the TV to see a divorce announcement between Ryan and Blake. Jeremy and Scarlett looked to each other, before she moved closer to him. She knew this would mean trouble.

Sorry for the late chapter! I hope it's worth it! Not a lot happened here but I think a lot of trail and drama is soon to come!
