That night, Bree dreamed.

It was rare she actually dreamed at all, considering she ran her heart out everyday, she didn't have much energy to do anything else, much less dream.

It wasn't even a good one, either.

She dreamt that she was in the maze again, except this time, it was completely black. She couldn't see a thing.

Then she heard it, the buzzing and whirring of a griever.

She could see the red lights shining brightly off of the things body.

She tried to run, but she couldn't.

The griever was coming fast.

She looked down to see her feet had sunken into the stone floor.

She couldn't run, and the griever was right on top of her.

Then, just as she was about to get eaten, the scene had changed.

She was in the glade now, but it looked more like a horror movie than the actual glade.

People were fighting and blood was everywhere, and probably not just because of the animals Winston kills.

Then, she saw Newt.

He was talking to Gally, and they looked pretty friendly with each other, which was really weird because they hated each other. Everyone knew that.

She walked over to them.

It felt like walking through water, but at the same time, she got there as fast as if she were the fastest runner on earth.

Newt and Gally looked at her, then exchanged some words she couldn't hear, then they both grabbed one of her arms.

Bree had no idea what was going on and was horrified when she found herself in front of the open box.

The two boys threw her in.

She fell on the hard floor of the box with a thump.

She looked up at Newt, not knowing what was going on at all.

He had no emotion on his face whatsoever.

His eyes were hard and cold.

She tried to scream out, but nothing came.

It was almost as if she had a hand over her mouth, to muffle her screams, but there wasn't one.

She looked at Newt one last time- to see if there was any trace of remorse. None.

The doors were closed and she was incased in an envelope of darkness.

Then, the box started moving down.

On the way, she heard screams, and insane laughter, chainsaws and the sound of two blades hitting against each other.

Then, the doors opened, and everything was black except a bright light coming from the outside of the box.

Then, the words.

They sounded so real, that she thought she was already half awake, you know, how if you were sleeping and then your alarm sounded in the real world, except you weren't awake, and that alarm was sounding in your dream.

The voice spoke, and she would never forget how cold it sounded.

"Bree, we want you back."

~

She woke with a start.

Bree looked around and noticed she was still in the glade and there was no trace of blood anywhere.

She looked next to her to find Newt still sleeping.

She had heard everyone looked younger in their sleep, and that was true for Newt.

He looked like he was fourteen, not seventeen.

It was still dark outside, probably very early in the morning.

Bree felt that she couldn't find sleep again, considering the realness and scariness of the dream.

Her feet were sore enough she didn't want to get up, she was concerned she would just fall back down.

So, Bree just sat there, looking out into the half dead trees.

After about fifteen minutes, she saw movement.

She looked closer to see it wasn't a person, but a beetle blade.

The weird little robot was sticking to a tree, it's red light pointing straight at her.

She stared at it for a little bit, then it disappeared back into the mass of trees, as quickly as it came.

Sometime in the next few hours, Bree fell asleep again, exhaustion finally taking over.

~

Bree sat down on the old wooden picnic bench.

She had only fallen asleep for the third time, waiting in line for food.

She had fallen asleep after her dream a few hours before, but it felt like she fell asleep only a few minutes ago, just to be woken up again.

"You look horrible." Minho remarked.

Bree rolled her eyes. "Thanks, every girl loves hearing that."

"Are you sure you want to go back out today?" Thomas asked her.

Bree shrugged. "I have to. I don't mind much anyway.."

"Why would you be asking her that? You're not even in charge, shuck-face." Minho said to Thomas.

Thomas chuckled once. "Whatever, shank."
