(A/N: Ok, this is exactly like 29 except it's in Newt's perspective. Also, there is a minor spoiler explaining how Newt got his limp, so if you do not want to read that part, then skip ahead.)
Newt
He woke up early, like he always did.
The sun was almost to the point where it would start to wake people up.
He looked down at Bree, who was peacefully sleeping next to him, huddled into his side.
Newt smiled. "I really do love you." He thought as he looked at her.
Bree always seemed to look years younger when she slept, but doesn't everyone look younger when they sleep?
Just then, her eyes fluttered open and she looked around tiredly. He wished she didn't have to go run today. Or any day for that matter.
"Morning, babe." He said to her.
Newt smiled as Bree blushed a deep red and responded, "Morning."
"Long day today. Gotta get up!" He said.
Bree groaned. "Why can't we just stay here?" She asked.
Newt chuckled. "Wish we could- but we both have work to do."
He got up and helped Bree to her feet. She was so much shorter than him, it was really cute. She was at least five one, if not shorter.
The two started walking to breakfast.
They didn't really talk, and that didn't bother Newt, he knew she was tired.
They passed a couple gladers, who waved or said 'morning.'
They got their food from Frypan and walked to their usual, old wooden picinic table.
"Ah, there they are! The two lovers of the glade!" Minho said as they both sat down with their food.
Bree rolled her eyes. "Shut up, klunk head."
Chuck laughed and kept eating.
Newt started eating his breakfast- eggs and bacon.
"So, Clint say when Thomas could run again?" Bree asked Minho.
"Today!" Thomas said as he sat down with his breakfast.
"Thank God! Now I don't have to do two sections!" Minho said.
"Oh, please Minho, you liked running two sections and getting back early." He said, rolling his eyes.
Sometimes Minho could be a show off.
Minho shrugged. "Anyway, time to go. Long day of running."
Minho got up, and dragged Thomas and Bree over to Frypan's to pack their lunches.
In a way, Newt missed it. Running.
Then again, it was horrible. The grievers were horrible, and having to watch Bree run off into that death trap everyday.
She was so brave. Some part of him wished he could have the guts to go out there again. Then again, he didn't want to think about it.

Newt walked over to the group of runners standing at the door. He always hated this. Watching her leave.
"I'll miss you today," he told Bree when he walked up, smiling. "When you leave all I have are these shuck faces." He said, gesturing towards the many other gladers already at work.
Bree laughed. "At least you have people to talk to!"
Her laugh was incredibly cute. She was just an incredibly cute person, and whenever Newt heard her laugh, he just felt right. At peace with himself. It was quite amazing.
