That Summer Day

Chapter 1

1st June XXXX

Spring 

Ro'Meave Brothers' Resident

    It was 6:30 a.m. in the morning. Zane was already up as he was not able to sleep yesterday due to his brother's snoring. He got himself a glass of milk and plonked himself down on an empty seat. None of his brothers were awake yet. Zane took out his phone and found out that he got a message from Kawaii Chan. He opened his messengers and checked the message.

KC ~

Hey Zane, You awake?

  He replies to her.

Zane01

Um...yeah?

KC ~

Oh hey! I could not sleep so I woke up. Had nothing to do so I thought of talking to you

Zane01

Why me?

KC ~

Well, everyone was asleep and the only person whom I guessed was awake, was you.

Zane01

Right...Anyways, what do you want?

KC ~

 Well, let's talk. Um...How are you doing?

Zane01

Fine. You?

KC ~

 I feel great. So how's it going with you and your brothers.

Zane01

Not Great. 

KC ~

Why? Is something wrong?

Zane01

You could say that. Garroth keeps snoring and I can't get a good sleep because of him.

KC ~

Then why didn't you tell him to stop

Zane01

Well, I tried and it doesn't work and even if I want to move to another room, I don't have money to get another.

KC ~ 

Wow, that's sad. But I'm sure one day, you'll find a way to communicate with them

Zane01

I guess

KC ~

Oh! Aphmau is awake, I gtg. She's calling for me.

Zane01

Oh okay...Goodbye. 

KC ~ 

Bye!

Zane01

Sometimes I think you are the only one who understands me...

    Zane switches off his phone and drinks finish his glass of milk. By now, his brothers would have woken up. Well, one of them. Vylad was awake. He came down groggily while rubbing his eyes. 

"You're awake?"

"Yeah."

"Why so early?"

"No reason."

   He pours a glass of milk for his little brother and signals him to drink it. A few minutes later, Garroth came down. 

"Hey! Where's my glass of milk!"

"Go get it yourself!" 

"Why does he get one and I don't !?"

"That's because he's younger than you."

"You're so mean!"

   Zane prepares breakfast for Vylad. And Garroth had to do it himself. Zane always hated his older brother but loved his younger brother. His Older Brother was so lazy and always complains while his younger brother is at least slightly better than him. While the two were eating their breakfast, he got a message from Aphmau.

Hey! Come to my house later at 12 ASAP!

*Bring your brothers too

   Zane wondered what could be so urgent that she needed them to come to her house. Pushing the question aside, for now, he informs his brother about the urgent message. 

*Time Skip*

Aphamu's resident

12:10 p.m.

   Everyone was gathered at Aphmau's house in the living room, wondering what Aphmau needed them so urgently for. Zane chooses to sit next Kawaii Chan because he did not want to sit with Garroth whom Vylad wanted to sit next to. A few minutes later, Aphmau enters the room.

"Hello, Guys! I'm sure you are all wondering why I called you here so urgently."

"Well, I've decided that all of us should go on vacation! I booked the tickets already and-"

Zane cuts her off.

"Whoa whoa, wait a second! You mean we are all going on a vacation?"

"Um yeah."

"And you didn't even ask if  I  wanted to go or not?!"

"I thought you should go on a vacation the most, you've stressed out lately and this is the time for you to relax"

"I-"

     Kawaii Chan nudges him. 

"Please go, do it for me, please...I don't want you to fight with Aphmau..." Kawaii Chan whispered in his ear.

   Zane gave in and agreed to go. Aphmau was thrilled by his answer and jumped in joy. Later on, she gave out instructions, talked about the rules and what they would do there. Kawaii Chan smiled at Zane. 

"Thanks," She says softly
