That Summer Day

Chapter 8

 (Hello, this will be a Zane-Chan chapter so other ships will be excluded, later one I'll make a chapter with the rest of the ships so yeah)

Zane-Chan

(In the bathroom...)

"You okay?"

"I guess...Ouch!That hurts!"

"Relax, I need to put this cream on you or you'll never recover. Luckily, I brought that with me."

"Okay...But..."

"Yeah?"

"Don't you think you were a bit too harsh on your little brother?"

"You think? He hurt you!"

"Well, it was an accident...Ouch! Can you not use so much strength?"

"Alright alright...Maybe, I'll apologise to him..."

    After Zane washed and applied the cream on Kawaii Chan's wound, they head back out. Vylad was gone. Zane asked Aphmau where did he go and she said that he went out. Now he has done it, Vylad was gone and it might be because of him that he ran away. When the two ate finish their food, they went to find Vylad. 

     They did not want to go so far so they searched nearby and was unable to find you.

"Don't worry Zane, I'm sure he'll be fine on his own. After all, he is all grown up now."

"I guess...Let's hope that we'll meet him back at the hotel later..."

"Now, you said you would bring me to that pet shop, didn't you?"

"Yeah, let's go."

    They went to the local pet shop and Kawaii Chan went over to the display stand to look at the little pets being displayed there. There were guinea pigs, bunnies, kitties, and puppies. 

"Omg, look Zane! They are so cute!!!!"

"I want one!!!"

"Well, we can't. We have to ask Aphmau first. She's paying for us after all."

"Call her now!"

"Okay okay, gimmie a sec."

    While Zane was calling Aphmau, Kawaii Chan was looking the pets. Then she saw one that caught her eye. It was a little snow-white kitty that had black patches all over it. It was standing up on its forelegs and putting its tiny paws on the windowpane trying to get her attention. Kawaii Chan got down to its level and placed her hand on the windowpane.

"Aren't you a little cutie?" She cooed

   The kitten meowed

"Aw, I want to take you home so bad! But we have to wait for Aphmau Senpai to answer!"

     A moment later, Zane told Kawaii Chan that Aphmau said 'No'. Kawaii Chan called Aphmau herself and she got the same answer. Feeling dejected, she said goodbye to the kitten and left with Zane.

   Not all was what it seems, Zane had some tricks under his sleeve. It was almost Kawaii Chan's birthday and it just so happens that she forgot so it would be perfect to surprise her with a gift and that, of course, was the little kitten that Kawaii Chan was looking at. Zane had planned it all. He observed which pet she liked and told Aphmau the plan, she agreed to help Zane cover. 

   Kawaii Chan went over to the park to play and Zane told him that he had 'forgotten' to do something. So she went to play and Zane went back to the pet shop and ordered the kitten to be prepared the day before Kawaii Chan's birthday. When he came back, Kawaii Chan was exhausted. He bought some drinks for her and soon enough she was reenergized. Afterwards, Kawaii Chan pulled Zane along to go do some shopping.

   Zane bought clothes of his own while he was there. At one point, Kawaii Chan asked Zane which clothing does he think fits her best. One was a pink coloured dress with floral patterns and the other a combo of a plain white shirt with a cupcake on it and a mini skirt. Zane suggested in buying both. 

"That's such a great idea! Why didn't I think of that earlier? I think there's something wrong with me today."

"Nothing's wrong with you, you just didn't think of that idea in the first place."

"Aw, that's so sweet of you Zane! Now, if you'll excuse me I've got some more clothes to buy!"

    After shopping for a while, they decided to get some food. Zane followed Kawaii Chan behind with many bags in his hand (Looks like he has to carry all those for the rest of the journey). They stumbled upon a small cafe and decided to eat there, Zane placed the bags down. They each other a cake of their favourite flavour and Zane got some coffee while Kawaii Chan got a strawberry smoothie. When their food arrived, they dived straight into it.

"Hey, Zane...Thanks for hanging out with me today especially helping me with those bags."

"No problem, happy to help."

"You know? It's the first time I've seen you been so nice to me..."

"Maybe it's because I'm in the holiday mood..."

"Yeah...Thanks again..." 

    They sat there in silence.

"I think you are the nicest person that I've ever met besides Aphmau and Katelyn..."

"What do you mean?"

"I was always the odd one out in my family. All of my brothers and sisters had a special talent but I was the only one who couldn't find mine..."

"Well...You don't stand out to me..."

"Really?"

"Um...Yeah..."

"But I don't have any talent..."

"Of course you do and that's making others feeling happy."

"Thanks...You've done so much for me...Also, I think you're that bad of a person after all."

     A few minutes later, they headed back with their things. It was an eventful day for them and one that helped Kawaii Chan realise that talent doesn't have to be winning multiple trophies or getting good grades but making people happy. It was a talent that she had and she would cherish it from now onward. What Zane said, will forever remain as a memory in her mind.
