That Summer Day

Chapter 21

Zane-Chan 

  So, Zane met Kawaii Chan at the park, and she was playing with the dogs as she said. Zane says to Kawaii Chan that they should find somewhere to eat after walking around so much and Kawaii Chan agreed. The two soon found a restaurant, and they started ordering food. This was part of Zane's plan. He was going to make an excuse to go to the bathroom and sneak out the backdoor, because he saw it, and quickly go to the nearest cake shop and get a cake. The problem is is that Zane has to figure out a way to ask Kawaii Chan her favourite flavour of cake without her noticing it was for her birthday.  

   "Hey, Kawaii Chan..." Zane starts.

   "Yeah?" She asks. 

   "What sort of flavour do you usually like?" Zane says.

   "Um...Depends on the food you're talking about. Why'd you ask?" Kawaii Chan questions.

   Zane needs to save this conversation immediately. He made a wrong move back there. Zane then adds, "I want to buy...cupcakes! I want to buy them for you." 

   "Aww, Zane, you're so sweet! Well, I like strawberry flavoured things. I know! We can get some cupcakes for the others as well!" Kawaii Chan exclaims. 

  "Uh...Sure," Zane replies. This was way off his plan, but at least he can get to that cake shop, buy the cupcakes, distract Kawaii Chan, buy the cake and text Aphmau to get it. Turns out, this might be easier than he thought it would be. 

    While Zane was distracting Kawaii Chan and getting the cake, everyone else was preparing for the birthday party. 

Travlyn

   "So, I was thinking of creating our own banner. Anything self-made would be sure to touch her heart. Don't you think, Travis?" Katelyn asks. (Not sure if Katelyn would say it like this 😅)

   "That sounds like a great idea!" Travis agrees.

    So, the two got a white, empty banner and bought some paint and paint brushes. It would cost them the extra work and money, but they knew it was worth it for Kawaii Chan's special day. Travis did offer to pay, but Katelyn said they should share the cost and Travis just went along with it. They found a place where they could paint and started working on the banner. They decided to draw everyone's faces on it and Kawaii Chan in the middle with a cute little party hat and on the top it says 'Happy Birthday' and Below 'Kawaii Chan!'.  (They are going to draw cute chibi faces uwu).  

   They started by drawing the faces with a pencil. Travis drew everyone else around the same standard, but when it came to Katelyn, he made sure to focus when drawing her (and put in lots of care). After much hardwork (as I put it), he finished his cute little chibi drawing of Katelyn and was impressed by himself. 

   "Hey, Katelyn. Look, I drew you!" He exclaims and shows the drawing to her.

   Katelyn looked at the drawing and was squealing inside; it looked so adorable. It was a little Katelyn holding on to the plushie Travis gave her. 

  But she kept calm when answering him, "Wow, didn't know you were an  artist."

  "Thanks," Travis says as he rubs the back of his head. He was so glad that Katelyn liked it. 

  "What about me? Show me your drawing," Travis says, wanting to see the drawing of him drawn by Katelyn.

   Katelyn immediately turned away. She did not want Travis to see what she drew, it wasn't bad, but she just feels like that was only a boyfriend and girlfriend thing (drawing cute things and making sure to draw their partner perfectly). And they were not (yet). 

   She decides to make an excuse, "I'm not done yet, I'll show you when I'm done," She says.

   Travis was fine with it, "Okay!" 

   The two continue to work on the banner.

Garrence

   The duo was in charge of party hats. 

   "I just did some research, and I found out that there is this shop where they sell custom made party hats! Cool right? I think we can go there and create the party hats for the party," Laurence says.

  "Sure, as long as my little honey bear is happy, he can get whatever he wants, " Garroth says, making Laurence blush a little.

   The two went to the shop Laurence had found, and it was a thing on this island. The couple were so excited because the shop owner says they can draw whatever they want on the party hats and he would print them out for them, they can choose the colour too. They immediately took a white piece of paper and started planning out designs for how the party hats would look like. 

  "How about a splash of colour?" Laurence suggested.

  "What if we splashed one side with our favourite colour and the other side with Kawaii Chan's favourite colour?" Garroth suggests.

  "That is so cool!" Laurence exclaims.

  "Your boyfriends is always true to expectations," Garroth boasted.

  Laurence gives his boyfriend a little applause, and they began to get to work. They did the splash of colour as Garroth suggested and so far it was looking great.

Vylad 

  Vylad was preparing the music for the party and was going through some playlists on his phone. They were birthday playlists. And there were many of them. Vylad liked them all, but he has to choose a perfect one for his best friend's birthday party. What would Kawaii Chan like? He had a few conversations with her so he knows that she has a bubbly personality, so maybe she would like something happy and fun and perhaps something that is hype and is pop. Vylad was scrolling through his playlists when he realised the most important thing in the whole world. The date with Via (well not exactly a date but Vylad considers it to be a date).  Vylad immediately goes to call Via.

Vylad: Hello?

Via: Hi! It's Via here!

Vylad: Hey Via, it's me, Vylad. About the tour you wanted to take me on, I can't go...

Via: Why not? Is something wrong?

Vylad: Not really...I'm just helping my friend plan birthday, and I'm sort of the DJ.

Via: A party? Why didn't you tell me earlier? I want to help plan for your friend's party! 

Vylad: Um, really?

Via: Of course! I love parties, and I've got a few birthday playlists we can choose from.

Vylad: I've got some too. How about we decide on one together? Let's meet somewhere.

Via: Sure! How about the park?

Vylad: Okay!

Via: See you there later!

    They ended the call there, and Vylad was overjoyed. He is going to be coming up with a playlist or choosing one with his Idol aka his crush. They are going to talk a lot while doing that and maybe Vylad can get their relationship to progress a little. All that Vylad could think about was that beautiful smile and her stunning looks. It was going to be great! Vylad, later on, met Via at the park and the two sat the bench together creating a playlist. 

   Vylad told Via about Kawaii Chan's personality and some of her likes. Pretty soon, they were coming up with many great ideas for the playlist. The two of them had great chemistry as well. It was a first for Vylad sitting this close to a girl he likes, and he enjoys it. Together, they were going to create the best playlist for Kawaii Chan and she was sure going to love it when they play the songs at the birthday party.
