That Summer Day

Chapter 3

3:30 p.m.

Airport

(After they met up and checked their things, everybody got on a van and the driver drove them to the airport.)

 When they reach the Airport, they started unloading their luggage.

"Hey, You need help there?" Zane asked as he saw Kawaii Chan unloading her luggage.

"No, I-I'm fine!" Kawaii Chan says as she tries to get her luggage off the van

  Suddenly, the luggage from the top fell and almost hit Kawaii Chan when Zane rushed over and blocked her from getting hurt. Zane was right on top of her. The others quickly pitched in and helped remove luggage from Zane's back. Zane and Kawaii Chan stood up afterwards and blushed. 

"H-Hey...Are you okay...?"

"Um...yeah...You?"

"I-I'm fine...T-thanks for protecting me..."

"Y-yeah...Um...No problem..."

      Zane helped Kawaii Chan put her luggage onto the trolley and volunteered to help push it. Later on, everyone headed into the airport to check-in. Zane was pushing the trolley slowly while Kawaii Chan was walking next to him. They were quiet as they walked. Suddenly, Vylad came over, jumping up and down excitedly in front of them.

"OMG! OMG! Zane, you were so cool earlier! You're just like those superheroes where you save a person's life without even thinking and-"

    Vylad continues talking and Kawaii Chan giggles at how excited Vylad was talking about Zane's heroic act. Zane blushes again from embarrassment and moves on ahead. Kawaii Chan catches up with him later.

  ( They checked-in and passed the security checkpoint. Now, they were waiting for their plane to arrive. )

    Zane sits beside Vylad. He takes out his phone and starts playing video games while waiting. 

"Hey~" 

"What do you want now, Vylad?"

"So...Are you two gonna...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"

"What?! N-no, of course not!" Zane turns away from Vylad

"You're blushing~" 

  "Shut up and leave me alone!" 

     This time Zane completely ignores Vylad.  

"You're no fun!" Vylad huffed 

    Kawaii Chan was next to her two best friends, Katelyn and Aphmau. they asked if she was okay and Kawaii Chan told them that she was fine and that they did not need to worry.

 Aphmau then whispers to Katelyn, " I see a new ship coming up~!"

    Katelyn just rolls her eyes and looks at Travis who was casually talking to Garroth and Laurence. Katelyn thinks it was weird that Travis did not do anything weird early or even now. It was highly unlikely that Travis would do this sort of thing. He seems TOO normal. 

   Travis, however, was actually gripping very tightly to the chair to avoid standing up, going up to Katelyn and doing weird stuff. A good actor like him was able to keep his face calm and normal. He really wanted to start seducing Katelyn again but he knows that Katelyn would hate it and she would not want to be friends to him. This was the first step he had to take in order to let Katelyn trust him.

   Aaron was sitting alone. He was a bit sad that Aphmau was not talking to him. But of course, Aphmau always sees through him.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine"

"I can tell you're not okay Aaron. Don't lie to me"

"Look, if you're upset. Then let's talk. We are sharing a room together, right? Then let's plan on what we're going to do."

"Okay."

"So I was thinking-"

    She started rattling off again. Aaron's spirits were lifted up. He did find her rattling a bit annoying but he loved to hear her voice. He was glad to have a girlfriend who was understanding and knew how to cheer him up. (Let's just say Aphmau is a great friend and wife).

"Geeze calm down Aph, we've got time to go to all of those places if you want to."

"Really? That means you'll bring me to see the cute animals they have at the pet shop?"

"Yeah, of course. I can also bring you to get Ice-Cream if you want."

"Ice-Cream?! Omg, yassss!!!!!!"

   Aaron chuckled at her answer. The way Aphmau answers is so funny that he just cannot resist. 

(A few minutes later, their plane arrived and they boarded the plane)
