—1 year later

"Then after that night, she moved to a better place, to what we called heaven." He finished. "The end."

"What? That's it? What kind of bedtime story is that, uncle?" Asked Sarang.

One year has passed since the traumatic event. Sarang moved to her — or should I say his mansion, since she had nowhere to go. Her mother unfortunately moved to a better place too, just a few weeks after they moved in to her mother's sister. Since then, she always went to Yoongi, thinking that she would be able to live with Abbie.

Her mother's sister was cruel, the reason why she had to sneak out of her house.

From that day when she came to the mansion and on, he decided to keep her and take care of her.

Though he wanted to do that with her.

"Why?"

"The ending, uncle! It's not nice, why did she die in the end?"

"Come here." He requested, causing her to move closer to him.

"You know," He started off, "there's no such thing as a good ending. Everyone gets to go to that place up there, like the girl in the story. But, you don't get to have a happy or a sad ending; you decide it. If you chose to be happy, then you'll have your ending happy, too."

"There's no such thing as a happy ending, everyone gets to die, anyways." He scoffed.

"Oh Yoongi," Abbie chuckled. "Don't be such a damn bitter turtle asshole. There are such things as happy endings."

"Hah, as if. What do you expect for an ending? You'll get to marry the one you love? You'll have children, and live in a big mansion? And you'll live happily ever after yadda yadda yadda? That's pure shit, happy endings are for kids."

"Happy endings do exist, Yoongi." She smiled, staring at the stars above. "Yes, we all die, that's a part of our lives we can't skip. But Yoongi, we don't get to have a happy ending or a sad one — we decide it. If you chose to be miserable until you die, then it's a sad ending. If you chose to be blissful, then it's a happy one."

"If my time were to come, I'd have a happy one. Why?" She turned to him.

And he did the same. "Why?"

"Because you're here." She chuckled. "Imagine? Having someone so perfect be always in your side? God, I'm so delighted to have someone like you. I know this sounds so cliché but I feel like the luckiest girl in the world."

"Indeed sound cliché" He chuckled. "But I should be the one telling you that, you know?"

They both let out small giggles before staring back to the sky.
