"So..." Dawn's hands were shaking. "You're talent..."

"It's... complicated." Elaina couldn't meet his eyes. Though she was grateful for her mind's silence, the void let the situation sink in. So maybe she did herself up a bit, and maybe was hoping that it would be nice if it was closer to a date... but she promised Dawn she'd answer his questions.
"How much do you remember from the attack?" She needed to know how he was thinking.

"Umm. The ... thing was coming at me... I closed my eyes... then you were in front of me and blood was everywhere..." He sounded so small when he spoke, Elaina wondered how someone his age could be so soft. " Was that part of your job?" He finished meekly.

"In a way. I'm not a Protector if that's what you're thinking." She let out a huff of amusement, as he seemed shocked at this. " T-Then how do you know about the program? Why where you there? How do you know Star-Hero?" He was talking faster the more he spoke, almost in a frenzy.

"Shhh! Calm down~" She practically sang. "Listen, I'm what gets referred to as a 'Specialist'. I'm technically off the radar to the public, unlike Protectors. There's only a few of us, since it needs to stay on the down low. We only get called in if ... well, things like earlier happen." Dawn nodded as she spoke. "But what about your talent?" She didn't want to share this with him, Hell she barely knew him. But she couldn't stop herself, and it was killing her. Elaina glanced around then answered in a low voice. "It's complicated. The best way to describe it is something called a ' [+] -talent', or 'PLUS', have you heard of it?"

Dawn shook his head. Elaina wasn't surprised, it wasn't as well known as the other classes. Hell. She barely knew anything about it. " It's an artificial talent class. Created in a lab, and extremely unstable. It only works on rare occasion and contains a low success rate." Elaina knew it was a weak answer, but she didn't care. She was through with this topic, and she wanted to leave it, fuck it if the boy's eyes pulled on her soul so. "So I need you to promise not to tell a soul ok?" She felt the growl form in her throat. It was a bluff, she was well aware she could never really bring herself to hurt him, she was too damn far gone for that. Infatuation or fate, it was going to be hard to fight, and both sides agreed on that.

"O-Ok... but why are you trusting me?" Elaina froze. Crap. Why was she doing it? She could have easily lied, it wasn't like she owes him anything. Then she looked into his beautiful eyes and remembered. Her soul was bleeding to just wrap herself around him, but she resisted. Fate was cruel at times.

"It's cuz you're gonna change the damn world kid! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" She laughed out warmly. She was avoiding the questions he was presenting the best she could, even if it pained her. Dawn looked exasperated but excepted the answer without a quarrel. "Now! Enough about me! Tell me about yourself!" Dawn clearly wasn't ready for that, and Elaina let out a chuckle. "W-What do you want to know?"

Unfortunately, her other half was done being quiet, and apparently had a lot to ask.

"How old are you? Why do you want to be a Protector? Are you single?  Can we see you every day? Why are you so pretty? Are you really a boy? Why is your sister hot? How old is she? Why did Star's talent not work on you? Is this a date or not? Do you text?"

Mentally rolling her eyes, Elaina just huffed our. " Why a Protector?"

"Well you see... it's kinda my dad's fault..."
