Jimin's POV

"So," Mina started. "When do we get to hang out with Jia again? Friday night was so much fun!"

Yunhee gave a thumbs up as if to agree as her mouth was too full of food to say anything.

"I'll try to get her to come hang out with us when she's free." I sighed. "It's only the start of her second week and she's already has so much on her plate."

"And there's not enough on yours." I hear a very annoying voice say behind me.

I turned around to see Seungkwan holding his tray of food. "Can I sit? Cool. Thanks." He sat so close to me our shoulders were rubbing.

I pushed him away. "Personal space. Look it up."

He looked at me irritated but it quickly went away as he started to eat.

"Where are your friends?" Yunhee asks him.

"Jihoon skipped today and Soonyoung..." his voice trailed off.

Only then did I realise that I hadn't seen Soonyoung today. My mind had been so focused on the next test I did not even bother to check on him. We were even in the same class.

"Is he here?" I asked.

Seungkwan nodded. "He's been excused out of class though and has been practicing with his dance group all day."

"Right." I stood up.

"Where are you going? You haven't finished eating." Mina pointed at my tray.

"I'll see you guys last period." With that I made my way to the dance room.

I wanted to be a supportive girlfriend. I wanted to let Soonyoung know I will always be his number one supporter. Even when I got busy with studying. I wanted to let him know I cared.

Before I even reached the dance room I could already hear the loud music and the even louder voices. The door was ajar so I peeked through it. There he was, my adorable boyfriend with the rest of his group laughing and having fun together. He didn't seem phased at the fact that he has not seen his girlfriend all day. In fact, he looked a lot happier to be in the hot, stuffy room wearing baggy sweaty clothes. A pang of jealousy hit me but I let it slide. He is passionate about dance, thats all.

I knocked on the door twice before slowly opening it.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and all looked at me.

"Jimin," Soonyoung said walking over to me. "What are you doing here?" There was something off about him.

"I just wanted to see you." I said embarrassed as I knew everyone was listening to us.

Soonyoung nodded. "Can we talk outside?"

"Yes," I said relieved.

We walked out feeling every pair of eyes on us.

Soonyoung shut the door behind him and leaned on it.

"I just wanted to let you know that even though we're both starting to get busy I will always be here for you and that-"

"Jimin..." Soonyoung cut me off. He never does that.

I stayed quiet and let him say what he wanted to say.

"I think we should break up." He was looking me right in the eyes. His stare was soft and a little sad.

"W-why?" I stepped back. I couldn't believe my ears. Did they deceive me?

He got off the wall and stood up straight. "Like you said we're both starting to get busy. You have your grades to focus on and I have dance. You and I have no time to be with each other." He took a step forward almost closing the gap between us. "I never wanted for this to happen but I have my priorities straight, I hope you do too."

I wanted to cry but I couldn't. Everything he was saying was true but it wasn't something to break up over was it? Was dance so important to him that he could let go of me?

Give yourself I break Jimin, you two are not in love... right?

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath then let it all out. "You're right." I walked off.

There was a small voice in my head telling me to turn around and fix things but I ignored it. Like mother always said, "a man that does not want you enough to be with you is a man not worth loving." Though she was never my favourite person, she had the best advice.

My feet took me to the rooftop. I had not been up here since last year, since the day...

"I'm breaking up with you."

"Turn around and look at me you coward!" I yelled as my eyes welled up with tears.

Wonwoo was furious. His eyes were battling tears of their own. "Shut up! Just shut up! I don't want to be with you! Why..." He stopped and clutched his chest. "...why is that so hard to understand?"

It was my turn to get angry. "Because it doesn't make any sense you idiot!"

"It does make sense." Wonwoo started to walk towards the stairs that led back into the school hallway. "I don't love you anymore."

The flashback in my head ended. A few tears stained my face. "Just who are you crying about?" I whispered to myself. I grabbed out my phone and dialled the person I trusted the most. As the phone rang I went over to the railing and leaned over it. The view is a lot better now than from what I can remember.

"Jimin?" Jia finally answers.

"Guess what just happened." I said with no hesitation.

"What?" Jia asks.

I took a deep breath. "Soonyoung just broke up with me."

I heard her gasp. "Kwenchana?" She asked slowly.

"I... I don't think so." I admitted. "But I will be." I turned around and leaned on the railing with my back. I felt my cheeks flush. As I see 3 pair of eyes starting down at me from the balcony structured over the stairs that led up to the rooftop. It was always hard to see if someone was up there unless you walked right out to the railing.

"I know you will." Jia said with a hint of sadness in her voice.

"I have to go, I'll see you later." I hung up before she could respond. "How long have you all been up there?!" I glared.

"Don't flatter yourself we were here first." Mingyu responded.

"Don't worry we won't tell anyone." Jeonghan pretended to zip his lips.

As if I cared wether or not people knew about Soonyoung and I. For some reason I felt more embarrassed that these 3 guys heard my conversation with Jia, especially since one of them was Wonwoo.

The 3 came down from the balcony.

"Tell your snob of a sister to start texting back faster." Mingyu said before heading back into the hallways.

Jeonghan followed him and Wonwoo was about to before I called out to his name.

He stopped and turned around. He did not say anything, he just stared, hard.

"Do you..." Say it stupid, say it! "Do you still love me?"

His unblinking eyes did not soften or show any signs of emotion. He turned around but before he took his first step down the stairs he stopped. It was faint but I heard it, "yes."
