Jimin's POV
"And now ladies and gentlemen starting off the over 16 category, please welcome to the stage team CARROTS!" The MC yelled through the microphone as 6 figures dressed in all orange jumpsuits take their places on the stage.
They started their performance while the crowd cheered them on.
I got my phone out and texted Jia.
Me:
10:04 am: Tell me your team name is better than CARROTS
Hong Jia:
10:05 am: I wish I could
"Who are you texting?" Mingyu leaned over and peeked at my phone.
I pushed him away. "Yah I let you sit with me so don't be annoying."
"Quit arguing you two." Jisoo oppa snapped on the other side of me.
"Mianhe oppa." I say in my sweetest voice then glared at Mingyu who just poked his tongue out.
How does my sister stand him ugh. I mentally rolled my eyes. He only confessed his feelings to my sister 2 weeks ago and now he's acting as if we were close. He only just got on our brother's good side too.
I focused my attention on the stage. Thinking about this giant child will make me kill him I swear.
After a couple minutes, team CARROT had finished. The MC came back onto the stage and asked each judge to say what they thought.
"The start was performed well and the acting was very polished," Jackson from Got7, who was this years kpop judge started to say, "but the ending lost a lot of energy and was abrupt." He went through his scoring cards. "I give the acting portion a..." He held up a 8. "The music a..." 6. "The dance a..." 7. "Your story line was easy to follow and was good, but like I said the ending was a bit abrupt so I give it a..." 7.5.
The rest of the judges took turns scoring and CARROTS' final score ended up being 148.5 out of 200.
The next 3 performances ended up beating CARROTS' score though.
"These kids are crazy talented." Mingyu whispered. "I'm jealous."
I couldn't help but be amazed by them too. This category was filled with people my age and yet every bone in their body seemed to be made out of art and creativity.
"Next up we have..." The MC looked at his card funny but continued in his usual voice. "Team BBQ Chicken!"
I laughed with the crowd. What idiots would... oh.
My sister and her group appeared on the stage.
Jisoo oppa was shaking his head while Mingyu just cheered along with the crowd.
The performance started off with Hansol sitting at a desk, daydreaming. My sister then appears behind him and starts dancing around elegantly.
Mingyu beside me was pretty much drooling.
Gross.
As the performance proceeded I started to tear up. I had forgotten how good my sister was at dancing. She carried herself around the stage like she was owned it.
"She's honestly so great right?" Jisoo oppa whispered.
"Tell me about it." I said sniffing and chuckling at the same time.
"Their performance is different to the other groups." Mingyu chimes in.
I nodded.
He was right.
