Jia's POV
I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited for my new teacher to come get me. I was told to sit in the waiting area but that was half an hour ago. Classes would have had already started.
"Sorry I'm late." A man in his (maybe) early 30's came running into the room.
I stood up immediately giving him a bow. "Annyeonghaseyo." I say politely.
He greeted me back and showed me out of the room. We made our way down the hall, up one flight of stairs and turned a right.
I gasped. "Yoo Jungyeon?!"
Standing outside what must've been my new classroom was Jungyeon wearing the same uniform as me.
"Hong Jia!" She exclaims giving me a tight hug. "What on earth?!"
"I see you already know each other." Our teacher smiled. "That's even better!" He claps his hands together. "Now girls, I really don't mean to scare you but my class is a bit odd. They're always so cheerful and loud and it can be annoying. Seeing as you two come from a prestigious school I hope you can both accept it's total weirdness."
Jungyeon and I laugh.
"Don't worry ssaem Jia and I do love a bit of fun." Jungyeon smiles.
Mr Ryu smiles back. "I'm pleased to hear that. And Jia I hope you don't mind, your sister begged me to sit you beside her. We changed our seating plan 2 weeks ago and she ended up not having anyone beside her."
"Aw I don't find ssaem." I giggle.
With that Mr Ryu goes into the nosy classroom. We hear him quieten down the students before starting. "We have 2 new transfer students from Hanguke's Performing Arts' School starting today.
The class 'oooo's.'
"I hope you all behave and treat them well."
"We will ssaem!"
"You can trust us ssaem!"
"One of them is my twin sister so everybody be extra nice!" I hear Jimin state.
"Twin? No, no, no. Don't kimbap kidding me please!" A boy says in the worst English I've ever heard.
"Yah, yah, yah," ssaem starts bagging his hand on his podium. "We don't have all day so everyone be quiet." He then looks over at Jungyeon and I peeking behind the door. "Come on in girls."
Jungyeon pushes me in first making me trip a little as I walk in.
"Introduce yourselves." Ssaem says encouragingly.
I bow. "Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Hong Jia from Hanguke's Performing Arts' School. I hope we can all be friends."
Some people clap and cheer others just stare at me in shock.
"This is crazy." A boy from the front desk closest to the door gasps. It was the same one that was speaking English. He looks at me then turns around to look at Jimin who was sitting at the second to last row of desks. He then raises his hand.
"Yes, Boo Seungkwan?" Ssaem points at the boy.
"Why do you have an accent?" The boy asks.
I started to get shy. "I used to live in New York."
"Ooooh you speaku Engrish? I speak high quarity Engrish."
I couldn't help but start laughing. This boy was already my favourite.
"You can socialise later Seungkwan." Ssaem gave him a warning look. "You can go sit with Jimin now, Jia."
I give him a nod then awkwardly made my way to Jimin. I could finally let out a sigh of relief when I had sat down.
