Jia's POV

"When Mingyu said 'the reason Jia and I' what did he mean? Why did you cut him off?" I asked Vernon.

We were alone on the couch we had slept on last night. Everyone else had either gone to sleep or outside.

"Well," Vernon had to think about it for a minute. "Mingyu was also in that same accident you got into in New York."

My eyes widened, "really?! How badly did he get hurt?"

"Not bad at all," Vernon looked straight ahead of him, avoiding eye contact with me. "Just a few bruises it wasn't serious."

"Oh I see," I nodded my head slowly. "And what about when he said about the love of his life? Is she okay?"

Vernon looked down at his fidgety hands. "She uh... she doesn't remember him anymore..."

I gasped. "She has amnesia?"

Vernon nodded, "yeah. She's Mingyu's first love, actually he probably still does. Love her, that is." He looks at me now. "She was also mine. I watched her only at a distant though. Oh how I regret it."

"Did you ever tell her?" I felt bad for him, Mingyu too.

"I did," Vernon tried to force out a smile but he couldn't hold it. "It broke Mingyu and I's friendship but it brought her and I closer. She never accepted my feelings though. She loved Mingyu with all her heart. She loved me like a friend, maybe even a brother."

"She's wicked."

"Oh?" He chuckles a little. "Why do you say that?"

"How can she easily forget about 2 very important guys in her life?" I didn't mean what I said. But it came out anyway. It must be tough on the boys but she has no clue at all...

"She can't help it." Vernon pokes my cheek. "It does't matter. She's okay and breathing. And most importantly, she's loved. She's getting a lot more than most people."

Jimin's POV

I made my way upstairs and out onto the balcony. I was taken aback when I laid my eyes on Wonwoo and Mingyu leaning against the railing.

They both turn around to look at me.

"I think I might head to bed now," Wonwoo pats Mingyu on the back once. "Night Jimin," he says as he walks past me.

Mingyu then turns back around as I go and stand with him.

"Did you two kiss and make up?" I teased.

"I guess so," Mingyu sighs. "I told him everything Jimin. Everything. Jia and I back in New York. The accident. The amnesia. He didn't even know there was another person in the car with Jia that day." Mingyu couldn't believe the words coming out of his own mouth. "His mother is... too much."

"Tell me about it."

"Do you still love him? Wonwoo?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. It would be nice to still be together if none of this happened and if his mother wasn't a psycho." I leaned on the railing with may back. "Do you still love her? Jia?"

"I don't think we really ever stop loving our first love. We can move on from them and accept that they are no longer a part of our lives the way they used to be but, to stop loving someone who used to be so special is nearly impossible. There will always be a place for Jia in my heart."

"But?"

"But I'm letting her go." He then put a hand in his pocket and fished out a keychain with a small stuffed toy attached to it. "Can you give this back to her?" He hands it to me. "I stole it a while ago but there's no point keeping it now. She probably thinks she lost it or something."

I stuffed the keychain in my back pocket. "It's weird how connected you and I have been this whole time and yet I didn't even know about you. My own sister kept her boyfriend from me!"

Mingyu chuckles lightly, "yeah well she didn't mention having a twin sister either." He puts an elbow on the railing and places his chin in his palm and looks at me. "You're not so bad Hong Jimin."

"I wish I could say the same about you." I joked but he just frowns in return. "I'm kidding you big baby." I started walking towards the door. "It's getting cold let's go back inside."

"Aw but I like talking to you," he whines. "You can borrow my hoodie." He starts taking it off but I stop him.

"You can stay out here if you want," with that I turn around making him groan and follow me in.

We walked down the stairs pulling faces at each other. Once we got to the lounge-

"Jia!" I exclaim.

Jia and Hansol pull away from each other abruptly.

"Do you like each other?! Why are you kissing?! Are you drunk?!" The questions came out fast.

"W-what? W-we just uhm uhhh..." Her flushed face looks at Hansol as if to ask for help but he just looks away obviously too mortified to say anything.

"Leave them alone Jimin," Mingyu chuckles beside me. He then goes over to the two and sits between them. "So," he smirks and puts an arm over both of their shoulders. "When are you two making it offical hmmm?"

They both say nothing.

Kim Mingyu, you're already so good at hiding your feelings. You're even making jokes about her being with someone else. You're so strong. Thanks for giving me the courage you didn't intentionally give. I'll be letting go of my first love from now on too... goodbye my first love, Jeon Wonwoo.
