The picture above is Melina

The early morning sky was magnificent Melina thought. The air wafted through the flower garden bringing a sweet scent contrasting with the vast forest. Last night's events took her sleep away so she did the one thing that took her mind away from stress - planting. She'd gotten some new flowers that she wanted to try out and the was no better time than today to start planting. The weather was perfect and the sky promised a pleasant day judging by the sun rise that made the skies purple and orange.

The crate of Harebell flowers was her first choice which was always sort after for weddings. The brides who looked for that elegant touch of pale blue. They were rear and only found in England which were a bit pricey. She pulled on her gloves in secured her apron over the navy blue Levi jeans and orange cotton t shirt she wore. She started toward the bed she planned to start planting. Walking through the very carefully planned out garden she felt the sudden stillness in the air.
The crate fell to the ground and she froze. The voice was very low at first, she leaned in on the tree near to her and straining at first she listened carefully. Someone was trying to communicate to her but at this time of the day it was uncommon.
"Melina..."
The female voice trailed off. Instantly she knew who the voice belonged to which made her bolt too her study. The Harebell flowers that fell to the floor long forgotten.
It was too early for the house to stir making it much more peaceful. Turning her back to the dining room she closed the doors to her study locking the door. Tracking dirt on the carpet in her study without a care she wove her hands and opened a vision portal in the middle of the room. Her eyes glowed while using her magic. Expecting to see the queen of Methuselah stood a younger version of the great queen Larissa with unshed tears.

Without a word spoken she already knew what was happening. Sadness and guilt made a knot in her throat but she had to be strong for the princess, "Alissa... your mom?" The girl shook her head in grief. "Your father?" She already knew the answer to those questions because on the other end the queen would be the one communicating with her instead of her younger look alike.
"Princess, you are in grave danger," Melina warned and at her words the girl flinched.
Finally she found her voice, "mom said to find you and we would be safe."
"Yes, she was right. I can protect you, did she show you the path?"
"S- she already made the j-jump for us," Amelia stuttered while the unshed tears soon pooled over and streamed down her face.
"Is Avis with you?" The girl nodded and moved aside.
"Old friend," Avis answered when in view with a smile that held sadness.
"How far are you to the planet in which I now call home?" She said with an encouraging smile.
"We are just out of the planet's atmosphere. Awaiting your welcome."
With a broad smile she said, "the ship has the coordinates to land safely. Matthias will meet you. Trust no one else," she ended with warning in her tone.
This was a fail safe that the royal couple had put in placed as allies and friends. Closing the portal the communication was broken.

Twenty minutes later Matthias is filled in on the incident of how they had lost their friends and Matthew was filled in on the way. Before getting in the car he kisses Melina and whispered to her that he would be back soon. It was going to be a full day out as the landing site opposite side of the country. It was just another way of ensuring that the community was safe.
The car is out the gates and Melody walks out dressed in work out clothing when Melina joins her to look at the car disappear down the street. Putting a hand around Melina's shoulders she asks, "where is dad going in such a hurry? Who died," she added jokingly. Soon she regretted it putting her free hand to her mouth by Melina's expression, "oh my God! Someone died?" Melody felt sick to her stomach that she made a jest about something so real.
Sighing Melina replied, "friends of ours were killed and their kids are coming to stay with us. Just for a while till we can figure this out. I need you to be nice to them, they need our support."
"Mom, I'm so sorry," Melody replied pulling Melina in a hug.
Squeezing Melody's hand that lay across her shoulder she nodded and said in a choke voice, "Larissa was a childhood friend..." whispering more to herself, "it will be fine..." with efforts to convince herself.
