The next morning the rain fell non stop. This did not stop Melody from getting to the gym first as training was about to start but her father was no where in sight. Sitting on the mat awaiting him looking at her watch wondering if she was going to ditch practice for the first time in forever. Stretching she feltanother pesentce as though she was being watched making her attention perk up and her body going into defense immediately. Straightening her dark blue tights across her legs she listened intently at the steps of what seemed to be a predator. Flipping backwards to her attacker she springs and launches at the figure that she did not take the time to access. Suddenly she was pinned to the floor in a sweeping motion, back against the floor she looked up in the eyes ocean blue eyes of Xander.

They stayed like that for a moment closing his eyes he allowed his senses to take her in smelling the scent of her skin. Holding up his weight with his arms his lower body pressed against her which made her feel his manhood pressing into her. It was not what she thought she would feel with him being this close to her. He could hear her heart rate speed up and shocked by her body's reaction he opens his eyes to look at her. Melody's eyes searched every part of his face although her face was expressionless. Slowly he dips his head to hers ready to claim her lips and her first kiss when he stops midway almost touching her lips with his, "Xander." He raised his eyes to her looking down at her beauty.

"I-I want you to be mine, I've always wanted that but... I know that its not possible," he says softly with disappointment in his voice.

"I wish that you would stop playing with my heart Xander," she tugs him off and begins to pull herself up when he pulls her into an embrace.

"We can forget everyone and what they want from us, be together if that is what you want... The final say would be ours and you know it. I can reject her and you would be the only one that lives in my heart."

"NO!" she shouts squirming out of his embrace, "I am not a toy! You can't decide that you want me when its convenient to you!" She walks over to the nearest wall leaning against it as he followed her trapping her with both hands at either side of her.

"This is not game! You think I wanted this? To stay away from you? It kills me! I always wanted to be the one for you but I was told that I was not. You think I stayed away from you by choice?"

"You're not the one Xander! Your fated is in my home! I have not found my fated but that doesn't mean that you get to play with my emotions! I WILL GET OVER YOU!" eventually she sadly thought as tears began to well up in her eyes. The very words that she always wanted to hear from him finally came when it was too late. Xander was already 19 and he knew that 18 year old Alyssa who he did not give time to was his fated. Looking into his eyes she finally saw what was happening he was resisting the bond with Alyssa, her new found friend. He was making the same mistake that her mom made with her dad. She could never let this happen no matter how much it hurt her inside.

"Please... Give us a chance," he said resting his forehead on hers. Before she could answer a roar sounded across the room sounding like a wild animal making them both flinch. Matthias rushed towards them in giant stumps with rage written over his face followed closely by Rosa calling after him. Melody placed herself in front of Xander shielding him from her father's wrath.

Putting up her hands she shouted, "STOP!!!" A sparkling shield lifted between then protecting Xander from her father. Melody knew her father's strength and wanted to keep him from making a mistake of hurthing someone that was like family to them. In shock she puts her palm to her mouth and by losing her concentration the shield was lowered.

Matthias paused glaring angrily in Xander's direction, "stop this madness both of you!" Turning to Xander, Melody said warily, "you are scared I know. Don't you think that I am too? This is all new to me! Things are happening to my body that I do not understand, if you care about me you would know that I do not need this right now."
