Chapter 10. Falling Slowly

LOUIS' POV

I wonder if Eleanor has seen the picture yet. Gosh, I feel guilty for thinking about it. I felt so bad for Nancy today. She had another huge fight with Emma and Lisa because of MY plan. I didn't know that their reaction would be THAT bad. Come to think of it, both Emma and Lisa overreacted. Even though they hate me and the lads, it doesn't mean that they have the right to get mad at Nancy for dating me. It's not them who's dating me, It's Nancy. They're not even close so I don't get why are they being so mean.

After leaving Nancy's place, I went home. My sisters Fizzy and Lottie were going to stay at my place for a week so I had no choice but face them and explain everything. Although I was doubting if I should tell them the truth or not.

After 20 minutes I was already at home.

Louis: Hello? Fizzy? Lottie? Anyone at home?

Then I heard footsteps coming from upstairs. Fizzy and Lottie were running downstairs.

Lottie: Finally you're at home!!! You have many things to explain to us!
Fizzy: Shut up Lottie. There's nothing to explain! I always knew that one day you'd end up dating Nancy, Lou! I'm so happy for you! You are such a cute couple! I totally ship Louncy!
Lottie: Could you stop yelling, Fizzy? I'm agree that they're cute and all but this is strange. I don't believe that my brother was heartbroken a few days ago, and today he's in love again.

My sisters were talking and asking questions non stop. They were talking together at the same time so I couldn't even understand what they were saying.

Louis: Calm down, girls! I'm dating Nancy now and that's all that matters!
Lottie: But Louis, this isn't like you. You just broke up with Eleanor and now you're dating Nancy? Don't you think that it's impossible to fall in love in such a short time?
Louis: Nothing is impossible!
Fizzy: Leave Louis alone! He finally made a right decision by dating Nancy! She's sweet, nice, caring, kind. She's got a great personality unlike Eleanor!
Lottie: I like Nancy, I never said that Eleanor is better than her! What I'm saying is that this whole situation is kind of messy and strange. Tell us the truth Louis. What are you hiding?
Louis: Okay okay. I guess you girls are my sisters and you have the right to know the truth.

So I told them everything. Fizzy was so shocked when she heard the truth. Lottie didn't look surprised at all, which made me worry. She looked like she already knew. But still, when I told them, I saw confusion and even disappointment in Lottie's eyes. It broke me a little.

Louis: Girls, I know that dragging Nancy into this mess was my biggest mistake. She doesn't deserve to be treated like that by her band friends. I feel so guilty. I shouldn't have made this stupid plan.
Lottie: What's done is done. I just can't believe you did that because of Eleanor. Just try and remover her from your head.
Fizzy: Media is going crazy. Have you checked the celeb news? You and Nancy are literally everywhere! And it's just been a few hours.
Louis: I guess we don't have other choice but to act for some time.
Fizzy: I'd like to ask you something.
Louis: Ask away.
Fizzy: Do you think that one day you may actually fall for Nancy?
Lottie: Or if one day she falls for you. That's not impossible, but what would you do?
Louis: We have been best friends for ages, it would be kind of weird, but...

I paused for a moment. I never really thought of it, but now, when my sisters asked me, it made me think. I have other female friends too, but with Nancy it has always been different. With her, I just could be myself. She always made me happy and was there for me on my hardest days. I felt that way only with Eleanor before. Maybe because I loved her. What if I'm slowly falling for Nancy now? God, this too much to take.

Lottie: Louis? Can you hear us?
Fizzy: Hello? Lou? What are you thinking?
Louis: Sorry I got lost in my own thoughts.
Lottie: So?
Louis: I'm tired. I want to take a nap.
Fizzy: Aaaand he avoided our question.
Lottie: I know right?
Louis: I'm too tired for this. Talk to you later.

I went to my bedroom, laid on my bed and started to think about my plan that might ruin everything in my life. Then I received a call. It was from Liam. I picked up.

Liam: "Hello again, lad."
Louis: Hi.
Liam: "One of the British most famous channels wants to have an interview with us tomorrow. They just contacted our management."
Louis: Ugh, they're going to ask me about Eleanor and Nancy.
Liam: "Exactly. The management doesn't know that your relationship with Nancy is just an act, by the way."
Louis: Good. They don't need to know. It's better this way.
Liam: "Bye then, Louis. Just wanted to let you know about the interview so you could get ready."
Louis: Thank you, Liam.
