Chapter 20. "Dress Fancy"

                         JADE'S POV

I woke up in the morning around 9am. My head was resting on Niall's shoulder. I carefully moved his arms from my back so I could get up. I didn't even notice how we fell asleep while watching TV. Then I remembered that Nancy never came back home yesterday, or at least I didn't see her. I went upstairs to check her room. Fortunately she was there, asleep with her phone in her hand. I decided to make breakfast and then only wake Nancy and Niall up. It took me 30 minutes to make breakfast, then I woke up both of them and we came to kitchen to eat.

Jade: When did you come back yesterday? I didn't see you return.
Nancy: When I came back you and Niall were asleep. Honestly, you two looked so cute together there that waking you up would be a crime!

My cheeks turned red and I felt awkward. Thankfully I was sitting next to Nancy so I whispered not to say anything about me and Niall falling asleep on the couch together and she stopped. Meanwhile I felt like Niall liked the subject because he was smiling at me non stop.

Niall: Where did you go anyway, Nancy?
Nancy: I was supposed to meet up with Jesy in a club because there was this huge party, but unexpected things happened.
Niall: What happened?
Nancy: There was this prick called Eric that tried to drag me to his place.
Jade: Oh God... He didn't hurt you, did he?
Nancy: No, I was lucky Louis was there too.
Jade: What about Jesy? Wasn't she there when that idiot tried to drag you out?
Nancy: No, actually, when I entered the club I couldn't find Jesy so I just sat there alone hoping that she would see me somehow.
Niall: My mate kicked that idiot's as$, didn't he?
Nancy: Yes he did, but Eric managed to leave some cuts with knife on Lou's arm. Nothing serious though.
Niall: God, you had one hell of a night.
Nancy: You can say that. Then Louis gave me a ride home and that was it.
Jade: And Jesy? Didn't Louis drop her home as well?
Nancy: Harry was there too, Jesy left with him.
Jade: Oh, that's good then. Hey, I noticed that you fell asleep with your phone in your hand, were you waiting for someone's call?
Nancy: No, actually I was texting with Louis till about 4am and I fell asleep while texting I guess.
Niall: Awww, how romantic!
Nancy: Shut up, Niall!

Since Niall was with us our breakfast was full of silly jokes and laughter, but then he had to leave for home and I had to go to the studio to record Little Mix's new album with the girls.

                       NANCY'S POV

Jade went to studio and Niall went home so I was left alone. I took my guitar and and tried to write my first ever solo song for a few hours. The music was already ready so I just had to write the lyrics, but since I was too tired to write it now, I decided to leave it for later. Then I received a call from Louis, and soon as my phone rang I hurried to pick up.

Louis: "Good morning, beautiful."
Nancy: Hey, Lou. How are the cuts?
Louis: "They're okay, not hurting anymore. Are you free today?"
Nancy: Yes, why?
Louis: "How about we meet this evening?"
Nancy: Yeah, sure! When?
Louis: "Be ready at 7, love. I'll pick you up. Dress fancy."
Nancy: Okay, see you soon then.

It was already 4pm so I had 3 hours to get ready. Since I couldn't remember what fancy dresses I had, I poured my whole closet in my room. Suddenly my bedroom's door opened and Jade came in.

Jade: Woah, Nancy. What's going on?
Nancy: JADE!!! THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE! HELP ME!
Jade: Okay okay, calm down. What happened?
Nancy: Louis called and asked to meet me. Jade, he told me to dress fancy and he will pick me up in 2 hours but I don't know what to wear!!!
Jade: Calm down, Nancy! No panic! I'm here to help you so there's nothing to be worried about!
Nancy: Give me a piece of advice, girl! Here all of my dresses but I don't think any of these would catch Louis' eyes.
Jade: Now, now. Our Nancy is worried that her dress won't catch Louis' eyes? I knew from the beginning that you liked him!!!
Nancy: Come on, Jade! We have no time to discuss it!
Jade: Okay, well, I don't see a dress that would catch Louis' eyes as well so I have another idea.
Nancy: If you will say that we should go shopping and buy a new dress then it's a no because we're running our of time.
Jade: Nope, sweetie. I won't offer to go shopping. So yesterday I ordered this very very fancy dress for an upcoming special event but I'm ready to give it to you because you need it more now.
Nancy: Oh my God, Jade... I can't accept it, you said it yourself that it's for a special event...
Jade: That event is the day after tomorrow so I'll have time to order another dress so don't worry about it, honey!
Nancy: Okay... But only if you let me pay for your dress!
Jade: Deal! Now wait here and I will bring the dress so you can try it on.

Jade went to her room and came back instantly with a white gorgeous dress in her hands.

Nancy: Oh God... Jade this dress is so gorgeous!
Jade: I bet Louis won't even look at other girls' way when he sees you in this! He won't be able to keep his eyes off you! Now hurry, wear it!

I did as Jade said. I quickly changed into that gorgeous dress. I felt like it made me more confident.

Jade: Now to your hair and make up!

Jade did my hair and makeup and I felt so lucky to have her at the moment. I didn't know what I would do without her.

When she finished my hair, I got a text from Louis

To: Nancy❤️

I'm already here, love. Waiting for you in the car xx.

Jade: Is that your prince charming? Is he here?
Nancy: Yes, he is already here. I gotta go now, bye Jade, love you!
Jade: Love you too! Have fun!
