I knocked on the front door to Avery and Grayson's front door, slightly shaking from how nervous I was.

I probably looked a mess - due to how little sleep I got last night.

Grayson has been the only thing on my mind since the moment I saw him, yesterday. I woke up this morning wishing, with everything in me, that this whole thing was a dream.

It wasn't a dream at all. I was living a nightmare, and I couldn't escape it no matter how badly I wanted to.

Avery swung open the front door, and I plastered my best smile on my face.

She motioned for me to come in, busy talking with whoever was on the other end of the phone.

I walked in, my eyes scanning the living room. Pictures of her and Grayson were scattered all over the walls, and I had to tear my eyes off of them and glue them to my lap just as I started to feel sick again.

"You can't just push my appointment back, I scheduled it for a reason!" She yelled, pacing back and forth in the living room. "I have other things to do today, for my wedding, this is a huge inconvenience. I'm surprised you're asking since I don't have much of a choice but to take that opening. So, yes, I'll be there at one o' clock. Goodbye." She huffed, hanging up the phone and slamming it down on the coffee table.

"You alright?" I asked her hesitantly.

She plopped down on the couch next to me. "I was supposed to meet with the florist at twelve, but they pushed my appointment back to one - but your dress fitting is at one. I can't be in two places at once!" She said, clearly stressed.

Just then, Grayson glided into the room. We locked eyes for a split second before I looked away.

"Aves, it's okay. I'll go by myself and handle everything. You already picked out the dress. I just need to go try it on, to find my size, right?" I asked, trying to ignore Grayson's presence and the fact that I could see him staring at me out of the corner of my eye. "So just do what you need to do, and I'll go to the dress shop."

Avery let out a sigh of relief, calming down a bit. "You are the best, Anna. Are you sure you don't mind doing it alone?"

"Of course." I nodded eagerly, already standing up so I could make a dash for the door.

I could use time alone. Between spending time with Jack, hanging with Ethan, and being around Avery to help her with everything - I had no time to myself.

And with everything going on I think I needed some time alone to process everything and to relax.

"Wait - Anna! Take Grayson with you!"

I froze in place, my heart stopping. "What?" I asked hoarsely.

Avery snorted, getting up from the couch to walk over to Grayson and shove him towards me. "You two will go to the bridal shop together." She smiled.

I can't be alone with home. I refuse to be alone with him.

"Really, Avery, I'll be fine by myself." I tried to convince her.

"Don't be silly, Anna, I'm sure Grayson doesn't mind." She laughed me off.

Grayson's hands were deep in his pockets, his eyes stuck on the ground. "Sure."

"Great!" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "Have fun, you two!"

Me and Grayson both mumbled back a quiet okay as we left.

I could hear Grayson's heavy footsteps behind me, following me out of the house and filling me with dread at the thought that it was just going to be him and I.
