As me and Jack walked into the restaurant, my phone began to ring. I shifted out of Jack's grip as I looked at the caller ID. It was Ethan.

"Hey, why don't you go find Avery and Grayson?" I asked him, hesitantly. "I'll be there in just a sec."

Jack hesitated, but eventually nodded, before walking off to find Avery and Grayson.

I answered the call, pulling the phone up to my ear. "Hey Ethan," I sighed as I closed my eyes.

"Please tell me I just interrupted you breaking up with Jack, Savannah."

I winced. "You didn't really interrupt anything," I said slowly. "We just... walked into the restaurant."

"Savannah, oh, my God, you're actually going on the date with him?"

"I know, I know, okay? I was going to - it's just... I couldn't do it. I don't want to break his heart, Ethan. I don't want to." I said quietly.

I could hear Ethan sigh. "I know."

"I will do it. I just... I need to figure out how, first," I whispered, clutching the phone close to my ear. "I have to do it the right way."

"I get it, Savannah. You don't want to hurt him the way Gray hurt you."

I was dead silent, clutching the phone tightly against my ear as my chest rose and fell harshly. The way Grayson ended things was still painful to this day - four years later.

"Exactly," I responded hoarsely.

"Okay. Call me if you need anything, alright? And don't do anything stupid."

I chuckled at how protective he was. "Sure thing, mom."

"Shut up," He laughed, before hanging up the phone.

As I stuffed my phone back into my purse, I took a deep breath, calming myself down before I went to go find everyone else.

Stay calm, Savannah. It's just one hour and some dinner.

I walked into the dining part of the restaurant, my eyes immediately landing on Grayson.

Still, after all this time, he was the first thing I noticed and only person I could focus on in a room full of people.

It was the first time I had seen him since our kiss, and, as much as I tried to ignore it, I could feel the heat spreading through my body at the thought of it - at the thought of his hands roaming my body. Or the way my lips were swollen because of how hungrily he had kissed me...

"Anna!"

I snapped out of my trance to see Avery, waving her hands around while sitting in a booth on the opposite side of the room.

Quickly I straightened out my dress and ran my hands over my hair as I scurried towards the group.

"I'm so glad you came!" Avery said, excitedly, standing up to hug me. "for a second I thought you guys weren't going to come."

I gave her the best smile I could, sliding into the opposite booth next to Jack. "Of course not, Aves, we both wanted to come."

Well, one of us did. The other one didn't want to be trapped at a table with her soon-to-be-ex boyfriend and the ex-boyfriend she cheated on him with for the night.
