"Shit, shit, shit," I cuss under my breath when I look through my recents and see that I had called Grayson, after all.
After sitting in shock for several minutes, trying to fight back the alcohol in my system to figure out what a sober person would do, I call him back, shaking from anxiousness as I waited for him to pick up.
I began to blabber away again the moment I heard the line click.
"I'm so sorry, I thought I called E-Ethan, I had no idea it was you -"
"Savannah," Grayson said softly. "It's alright,"
"No. N-no, it's definitely not alright," I placed my hand on my forehead, closing my eyes from embarrassment. "I will call him right now, do not w-worry," I said quickly, ignoring what he had just told me.
"Don't. I'm almost there."
I paused, feeling the heat rush to my cheeks. "You... you are?"
"Look, I know the other day, I said that-" He stopped himself, taking a moment to sigh. I guess he still couldn't talk about our argument, either. "Savannah, even when shit happens between us, I'm still here for you if you need me. You know that right?"
"Of course," I snorted. "Especially after the whole 'cant wait to get rid of you', thing."
"Savannah..." Grayson trailed off.
"No, forget it," I said quickly, catching myself before the alcohol in my system could let anything else slip about how hurt I really am. "I'll, um, see you when you get here, yeah?" I said hoarsely.
"Yeah. Yeah, see you then," I could tell by his voice there was more he wanted to say.
But he left it at that when he hung up the phone, leaving me to wait until he gets here.

"Hey," A voice said gently, tapping me on the shoulder.
I looked behind me to see Grayson, my heart fluttering in my chest as I looked him over.
"H-Hi," I said, quickly standing up.
However, I stood up a little too quickly, tripping over my feet and nearly falling to the ground. In a split second Grayson's arm hooked around my waist, pulling me close to his side.
"Woah," he chuckled. "Did you forget you're drunk?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
Grayson's presence had completely sobered me up. I was still so shocked that he had actually driven this far to come get me. I'm surprised he even answered my call.
"Let's get you out of here," He said, his grip on my waist tightening as he helped me walk out. I gulped as I hooked my arm around his torso, leaning my head against him and letting him lead me out of the bar.
"Do you wanna lay down in the back?" He asked me when we reached his car, sloppily parked in front.
I should've said yes. I should've tried to put as much distance between him and I as possible.
But of course I said no. Because I didn't want to.
"No, uh, I'll sit up front with you," I stuttered, glancing up at him. "I-If that's okay,"
I swear my knees nearly gave out when he looked down at me and a tiny smirk grew on his face. "Of course that's okay."
He held the door open for me as I climbed into his passenger seat.
