"I didn't fall for you, you tripped me"

"Yeah but falling is just another way to fly"

"Well maybe I'm afraid of heights"

"Then I guess it's a good thing you can depend on me to catch you"

"Smooth Besson, smooth"

"I try"

"And we're back to the arrogant you" I sighed as I turned to continue stacking books on the shelf

It's crazy what can happen in a week

No one would've ever imagined that the small towns shy girl would've connected with someone within such a short time frame, but hey, anything is possible.

It would be easier to just start from the beginning from the perspective of the towns shy girl

Here we go

Monday

Off to the bookstore again.

Another day of summer wasted

I wish I didn't get grounded

Then I wouldn't have to work at grandma's bookstore

I don't even know how it's still in business

Nobody reads actual books anymore

Nobody has the time. They're all having fun and hanging out with their frien- wait no. That's only the young people, excluding me.

You might be wondering what I did to get grounded.

You're probably thinking I was getting drunk at a party I snuck out for or I stole something to be punished for this long and this bad.

We'll if you thought that I did something terrible then you're wrong, I'm way too shy to do that stuff.

All I did was refuse to go to some lame 'schools over' party with my mom's best friends daughter, Abbi.

And now you're probably wondering why I didn't go with her. Abbi and I are complete opposites, yes we get a long but we aren't the same. She'd rather go to a party that the whole school is at while I would rather stay home with my small group of friends and watch Netflix.

She'd rather be the center of attention while I'd rather be the girl hidden in the corner not caring if I am the same as the others.

It's simple: She popular. I'm not.

Get it?

So that's why I'm grounded. For rejecting the idea of going to a high school party.

What is my punishment you might be asking, well, let me tell you. I have to work in my grandmothers old schooled bookstore until school is back. I can only hang out with friends, watch Netflix or text if ALL of these stupid books are in alphabetical order and neatly stacked on the book shelves again and I have to sweep the entire shop, clean the counters and dust the shelves.

It's pretty boring.

No one interesting ever stops by

They're all old people, I don't even think half of them still know how to read...
