"Come on man, I know you're still hurting but it's been 4 months..." Corbyn spoke from the otherside of the closed door.

"We just wanna make sure you're okay dude" Zach spoke up, that struck a nerve.

The door opened up for the first time in months, "I'm not okay Zach, do I look okay to you?!"

Jonah went to close the door again but Daniel stuck his foot out, catching it before it could shut.

"She wouldn't have wanted this and you know it." Jack said

"Just let us help" Daniel pleaded. "You need to talk to someone, whether it's us or a professional, what you're doing isn't healthy."

Jonah just glared at them.

His four best friends. The ones that were alway there for him when he needed someone.

He didn't realize how big of an impact he was causing, but as he examined their expression more he could easily see Zach's slightly red and swollen eyes, and Corbyn's tear stained cheeks. Jack's face looked hollowed and empty, Daniel's once bright blue eyes didn't seem to have their spark of happiness and hope anymore either. He instantly looked down to the ground.

'If they look like this then I wonder how I look to them'

He quickly pulled himself from his thoughts, he can't keep doing this to them. They're supposed to be brothers, and brothers don't do this to each other.

He looked back up, a hint of determination in his eyes, "you're right."

Jonah was never a big fan of admitting someone else was right and he was in the wrong, that didn't mean he didn't do it, he just didn't enjoy it. That most likely was the reason for the shock ridden expressions on his best friends' faces.

"Really?" Zach said as a small smile spread across his face

"Yeah, I'll get some help. We've got music to write anyways." Jonah tried to joke, but the slight voice crack and hollow laugh didn't go unnoticed by the others.

~2 DAYS LATER~

"Mr. Marais?"

Jonah slowly stood up and walked into the smaller room.

The slightly taller man smiled and stuck out his hand for Jonah to shake, which he did respectfully.

The man sat down and offered Jonah to take a seat as well.

"Good afternoon Mr. Marais, my name is Dr. John Mitchell, but you can call me John."

"Jonah." He didn't mean to sound so stand-offish, but it just came out that way. He didn't care to correct himself as he was looking around the room at the simple decorations.

"We can talk whenever you're ready, there is no rush at all"

Jonah gave him a small nod and a quick glance, he would've added a smile but he hasn't smiled in months.

Jonah left the office an hour later, nothing being shared within the time he spent there.

The same thing happened the next two visits.

It was finally the fourth visit when Jonah decided to finally speak up

"What happened to your ring?"
