Sometimes things happen that you can't prevent, even in a book. A character will die and the main character has to find a way to move on. The saddest thing about that is that sometimes they can't move on...

They can't just forget...

They can't just block out the feelings that person made them have or the happy memories that person provided

That's how many people relate to book characters so much. We've all lost something that we can't forget

A dog

A grandparent

Or maybe even a sibling

There are many things that you can lose that will cause you so much pain...

Sometimes it happens to the people you thought were too loving and pure. The ones you thought nothing would ever happen to...

But that's when that pain grows by the thousands...

"And finally, what many people across the nation has been wanting to hear, we have news on Corbyn Matthew Besson. The young song artist was rushed to the hospital at 6:12 early this morning when he was having trouble breathing. His brother, Jorden Besson, was with him at the time and says 'he just started reaching for his throat and his face turned really pink. There wasn't anything he had choked on though'. The doctors have yet to release any information on what this condition could be as we all wait patiently in pain for the young boy"

I turned off the tv as now tears melted down my cheeks

The pain in my chest hadn't weakened since I got the Twitter notification this morning...in fact I think it had become stronger.

I didn't go far from the radio, the tv or my phone all day.

If I had to go to the bathroom, I turned the radio all the way up and sprinted to the bathroom with my phone in hand.

It was about 6 in the evening when an updated report was published

Of course it was on the bands account from twitter...

WhyDontWeMusic just tweeted: We just wanted to say thank you to all of you guys that were out there praying and supporting us through the years. We hope we changed your lives as much as you changed ours. We are sorry to say that Corbyn didn't survive the surgery they put him through...he passed away at 5:30...the last conversation he had with the four of us was him asking for us to make sure you guys knew that he has cherished these years of being supported by you and to never stop working towards your dreams. Corbyn was a huge inspiration to many, let's work to make sure his legend lives on. As for the band...Why Don't We can't be Why Don't We with only 4/5 members...I hope you guys understand...we love you guys and thank you for all the happy memories🖤🖤

And then the report plays on the television

"And now, more news on the famous pop singer, Corbyn Besson from Why Don't We. The young singer who was rushed to the hospital early this morning has been confirmed to have had his lungs collapse from unrecognizable reasons. This health problem is extremely rare to see and the doctors further explained that they've never seen it taken a life before. They then further explained that there must be more to Corbyn's health than they knew and would need to speak to his family and his primary doctor. Later this evening the hospital confirmed his death to be at 5:29 pm eastern time, the cause of death was not only his lungs collapsing but also his body rejecting all treatments provided. 'It's like his body knew this was best for him and didn't want him to struggle anymore' described a nurse who had worked on Corbyn all day and even worked with him on bus surgery in 2018 to remove an infection from his throat. The infection was promised to not be related in any kind of way to the events today."

I took a deep breath as I felt more tears fall from my face

Part of me was glad that my mom knew what was going on and let me have my privacy while the other half wanted her to come and comfort me

I couldn't take it anymore and shut off the tv followed by the radio and then my phone.

I didn't eat anything all day...

I didn't leave my room, thankfully my bathroom was connected

My phone remained turned off for the rest of the day

I fell asleep that night with tears flooding my face and the happiness Corbyn Besson brought to my life clouding my thoughts.

Just as I closed my eyes and began to drift asleep I thought I heard Corbyn faintly say "I was so blessed, me and all the guys were so blessed to really be able to follow our dreams..."

And for a minute, everything felt like it was going to be okay as I fell into a deep sleep thinking that at least he isn't in pain any more...

He was too pure for this cruel world, he will never have to suffer again...
