Corbyn's P.O.V.
I ran down the street and through the lobby

"No running!!" The security guard yelled

"Sorry but it's an emergency" I yelled back

My best friend needed me more than ever right now

Well I say best friend...

What I really mean is my supposed to be best friend except I might have a small crush on her

But she doesn't like me back so best friend is all I've got.

I quickly knocked on the door until I heard a click

I was expecting to see a tear stained face owned by y/n but instead I saw her roommate, Rachel.

"Hey Rachel I need to see y/n" I old her quickly and moved to slide through the little opening in the door but I was cut off by Rachel

"I don't think she's in the mood to talk right now" Rachel said before trying to close the door

"No, wait!" I yelled and stuck my leg in the door

I winced as the door closed on it a little before Rachel finally noticed and opened it back up

"Are you crazy?!"

"A little. I'm begging you, let me see y/n. I'm her best friend, well...best guy friend. I can help"

"Corbyn, can't you tell that she's broken? Austin messed her up bad. I mean what kind of boyfriend of three years cheats in a girl?"

"The kind that doesn't see what he's putting at risk" I said truthfully.

If I were dating y/n she would never feel unloved or unwanted. She'd feel like a princess all the time and when she was sad I'd hold her until she was happy again. I'd do anything to get her to smile.

"Fine. You can see her" Rachel agreed and let me through the door

I quickly walked into her bedroom to see her laid on the bed bawling her eyes out

I quickly went to her side and pulled her into my chest

"Shh, it's alright. I'm here." I soothed her

I felt her relax a little and take fistfuls if my shirt into her hands as she continued to cry as if she didn't want me to leave

"Please don't cry" I told her and hugged her tighter, "you deserve so much better than him"

She slowly eased her crying but kept her head buried in my chest as I continued to rock us back and forth while rubbing her back

"I should've been here sooner" I told her trying to get her to respond

"...no...you're always here for me. No matter what you always drop whatever you have planned and you come to my rescue. You were right on time." She finally spoke

"I came as soon as I heard. I wanted to make sure you were alright and you were gonna do anything bad...because y/n, honestly if anything bad were to happen to you...that would keep me from being able to see my best friends face everyday...I don't know what I'd do." I told her and watched her face as she looked up and gave me a smile

"You always know what to say corb. Thank you so much for always being there for me. I know I can always count on you" y/n's smile widened

There we are. That bright beautiful smile.

I was being serious when I said I didn't know what I'd do without her. I would probably end up going crazy and put in an asylum

"You don't have to thank me y/n/n. I'd do anything for you."

"I love you corbean"

"I love you too y/n/n"

But my emotion has a deeper meaning than yours...I love you more than I love myself. You only see me as a friend.
