"Come on y/n! I know you can do it! It's not that hard, I should be used to this by now" I tried gagging again but once more, I failed.

I just finished my lunch at school and now I was trying to get rid of it. If I want to be on the cheer squad I have to get in shape for it and this is the only way.

I tried again and I was finally successful, the small pack of crackers was finally gone.

My stomach growled and I winced at the pain. Nobody said it would hurt this much...

I heard someone come into the bathroom so I quickly flushed the toilet and walked out of the stall only to be met by Gabbie Gonzalez (I think I spelt that right)

Gabbie is Jack Avery's girlfriend and Jack Avery is my crushes best friend, Gabbie is popular but she isn't the stuck up popular. She gets along and loves everybody. There isn't s bad bone in her body and I'm thankful for that. She's caught me doing this plenty of times before but she hasn't told anyone since I asked her not to.

"Y/n I don't know why you keep doing this to yourself. You're beautiful just the way you are. And I'm not the only one that thinks that" Gabbie said as she hugged me

"I'm not beautiful. I'm fat. And fat won't cut it on the cheer squad."

"Who told you that? And why do you wanna be on the cheer squad! All of them are mea- they told you that didn't they?! Why I ought to-"

"Gabbie, Gabbie no! Don't. Please. I've always wanted to be in the squad, now is my chance."

"Y/n you can be popular and not be in the cheer squad or be as skinny as you can make yourself."

"Well yeah but this is my chance and I'll do whatever it takes."

"Y/n please don't, you're going to hurt yourself" Gabbie pleaded

"No I won't. I've got it under control"

"Y/n there is someone in this school that lives you so much, they don't like seeing you starve yourself. I would tell you who it is but I promised I wouldn't just like I promised you that I wouldn't tell anyone."

"Gabbie, stop making up lies. I know that nobody in this school likes me."

And with that I left the bathroom.

As I was walking to my locker j could feel someone watching me, I turned around and saw my crush, Zach Herron. He was standing with his group of friends but he wasn't paying attention to them, no, his eyes were on me...

I accidentally bumped into someone and fell with a light thump. I looked up to see Corbyn and Jonah's girlfriends, Christina Marie (IK it's not her last name) and Tate Dahl.

"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. I didn't even see you" Tate said pulling me to my feet

"Are you okay? You look a little...pale" Christina asked looking at me concerned

"Yeah, I'm fine. Uh it's okay, I wasn't paying attention either so don't feel bad. I've gotta go, thank you for helping me up" I said and left

I could still feel Zach's eyes burning holes in my back, I was about to turn around again when I saw the jocks coming through the hallway. I didn't move fast enough, Jake had already shoved me to the ground.

"Get out of the way nerd!" He yelled in my face

He started laughing and then he did something nobody expected

He kicked my empty stomach.

He started laughing as I yelped and curling into a ball to protect my throbbing stomach

There was a loud sound of skin hitting skin, I looked up to see Zach standing in between me and Jake. Zach's fist was as red as his angered face and somehow, he still managed to look hot.

Gabbie and Christina came and helped me up as the other boys went with Zach to make sure Jake left.

"Are you okay y/n?" Gabbie asked

"Yes" I replied and walked off

My stomach cramped really bad and I collapsed to the floor

Soon i felt arms around me, I was being cradled by someone...

I looked up to see a worried Zach with Gabbie and Jack right behind him.

"Y/n why do you starve yourself?" He asked

I looked at Gabbie. She looked down

"You promised" I told her

"I know...I just fractured it a little for a person that loves you..." She said and looked down. As soon as Jack noticed her starting to feel sad he began comforting her.

Then it kicked in what she said

Does that mean Zach likes me too?

I looked back up at him

He smiled

"You're perfect y/n, don't let anyone tell you any different. You stand out from the crowd and that's why I love you. Y/n, I never thought you liked me but right now I don't care if you do or not" he bent down and kissed me. I kissed back.

When we pulled away I smiled at him

"it's a good thing I like you or else you'd have a red hand print on those rosy cheeks" I laughed and pinched his cheeks. He rolled his eyes and kissed me again

"Let's go get some food" Zach said as he smiled and carried me out of school with Gabbie, Jack, Christina, Corbyn, Tate, Jonah, and Daniel right behind us.

I guess I don't need to finish the rest of the school day
