Have you ever loved something so much...that when its gone...you...you just don't know what to do with yourself?

The question my best friend asked me almost 18 years ago when her dog died hasn't left my head for the last 3 months

There is a reason yes

You see 3 months ago my childhood boyband broke up. The eldest one, Jonah, had to go into hospice.

Hospice is when you can't really take care of yourself anymore so a nurse comes to stay at your house and take care of you.

All the limelights knew something was off with him for years but we never thought it would be because he had lung problems.

He can't perform anymore and the day the boys told us it was over Jack explained why

I can still remember the words like it was yesterday

Four boys from my childhood sat in the stage.

But one was missing...Jonah

"We hate to say this but...Jonah...is very sick." Corbyn spoke up.

"Jonah's lungs are really weak...he can barely talk" Daniel said

"Most of you have known that something was wrong for a while now, and he didn't want to hide it from you guys anymore so he asked us to tell you." Jack said

"Jonah can no longer perform" Zach said

"And with us being a band of five, we can't perform without him. It won't be the same. We h-have to have a-all five to p-perform" Jack said beginning to sob

"So our time as a band has come to an end. Thank you all for supporting us." Corbyn said

"We love you" they all said

So we'll go back to the question we started out with.

"Have you ever loved something so much...that when its gone...you...you just don't know what to do with yourself?"

Well at first I didn't think it would effect me much.

I never had the chance to meet them so it's not like I knew them personally.

I went to a few concerts but never the meet and greets or limelight shows, I didn't have the money for those...

But that's just what I thought.

My heart and my mind had other plans

I was suddenly pushed into the stage

I looked around, I was alone.

The stadium was empty

Not a single living thing was with me

A spotlight came on and was shining in me

Then Zach stepped forward into the spotlight in his tuxedo

All of my priorities

He smiled at me and took a step back into the shadows

Then Corbyn stepped forward in his tux
"Every time we got closer, I pushed you away
Pulled you right back just to give you the pain"

He followed Zach's actions

Next was Jack

Guilty of breaking your heart"

Then they all stepped forward
"I lie here awake, thinking of all the games I played

Til' you walked away, because of the words I didn't say"

They all stepped back except Jonah. He grabbed my hand and spun me around

He stepped back and Daniel took his spot. Daniel did a a little slow dance with me

Then Jack stepped up. He sang to me and winked

They all came forward

I stood there as Daniel came up

Every single night for the last 3 months, I've had that dream.

I don't know what to do anymore...
