When I see someone frown in my class about someone not wanting to be their friend I want to slap them.
They don't feel that true sadness in that moment. They don't feel the stares and the bruises when they go home. Not the yelling or the screaming, the starving or purging, the moment when someone's in their room, crying because they're afraid of what lies the next day. If they will even live to see the next day.
So when someone tells me, "Hey, you went blank for a moment."
No, no I didn't. You thought I lost my train of thought but there was no train of thought in the beginning. The train crashed and exploded, long ago and this was just my normal self slipping up on my disguise.
But instead, I say: "Oh, haha, your right. I'm sorry, what were you saying again?" With a smile on my face.
