"I don't want to go in" I admit to Grayson when our uber pulls up outside his parents house.

"You literally just got over your fear of flying and now you're going to tell me you're afraid of my mom and dad?" he scoffs, "come on they'll love you" he assures me getting out of the car.

"What should I talk to them about?" I ask while helping him take the bags out of the trunk.

"Just be yourself and you'll be fine" he tells me, "it's not like you're actually my girlfriend so it's really no big deal" he reminds me.

Ouch.

"Yeah, you're right it'll be fine" I smile trying to hide the fact that what he just said actually bothered me.

The uber leaves and he takes my hand, leading me up the steps of his childhood home which is actually really big. He smiles and gives my hand a little squeeze before ringing the doorbell.

I quickly fix my hair with my free hand before a man opens the door.

"Grayson!" his dad yells with excitement before pulling him into a hug.

"Hey dad" Grayson laughs hugging him back.

"And you" his eyes catch a glimpse of me as he pulls away from Grayson, "you must be Chloe" he smiles also pulling me into a hug.

"It's so nice to meet you Mr. Dolan" I sigh with relief pulling away from the hug, this is already going a lot better than expected.

"Please love, call me Sean" he grins helping Grayson and I bring our bags inside.

"You told me you wouldn't be home again until the summer" Sean says to Grayson, "is something wrong? Where's your brother?" he asks after noticing Ethan isn't with us.

"Chloe is in a fashion show in New York on Saturday and I wanted you's to meet her" he lies as Amanda was the one who arranged this, "and Ethan is fine at home, he just couldn't free his schedule to come"

"Your mother is going to be over the moon" he wraps an arm around his son, "and she hasn't stopped talking about how gorgeous Chloe is, she can't wait to meet her"

"Where is mom?" Grayson asks concerned.

"She's just in the shower, she'll be down in a minute" he assures him, "let's get you kids something to eat hmm?" he says leading us into the kitchen.

Grayson and I take a seat at the breakfast bar in the middle of the kitchen while his dad takes a few bits out of the fridge.

"How's a grilled cheese until your mom makes the dinner?" Sean asks, "or if you're that hungry we can order something" he offers.

"I'm not that hungry, a grilled cheese is fine" Grayson assures his dad while texting Ethan to tell him we're in his parents.

He also text him before we got on the plane, after we landed an in the uber on the way here. They don't spend a lot of time apart, which is getting more obvious every minute they're away from each other.

"Chloe what do you want to eat?" Sean asks me as he starts making Grayson's sandwich.

"A grilled cheese too, please" I smile, almost feeling at home in a weird way as a grilled cheese is basically all my dad Raymond knows how to cook. I lived off them growing up.

"Sean, have you seen my phone anywhere?" Grayson's mom asks coming into the kitchen, Grayson looks up from his phone and smiles at her until she notices he's sitting there.

"Grayson!" she gasps, "what are you doing here?" she asks as she pulls him into a hug.

"Chloe is working in New York on Saturday, I thought we'd visit before it" he explains and that's when she notices I'm here too.

"Oh darling you must be Chloe" she smiles, "it's so nice to meet you, I'm Lisa" she tells me before pulling me into a hug. Grayson's whole family is so friendly, I love it.

"It's so nice to finally meet you" I smile.

"Even more stunning than the pictures I've seen of you" she compliments me making my smile grow even larger if that's possible.

"Mom" Grayson sighs, "you can't just say stuff like that"

"Of course she can!" I hush Grayson making his mom and dad laugh.

- later that night

"He's adorable in this" I grin looking at one of Grayson's baby pictures. Me and Lisa are sat at the kitchen counter with cups of tea looking at baby pictures of the twins.

"That was the day he asked me to buy him a ring so he could propose to his babysitter" she giggles, "I said no obviously but he still proposed with a ring pop anyways" she tells me proudly.

"So he's always been a lady's man?" I smirk still looking through the pictures.

"Definitely!" she chuckles, "but I wouldn't worry about it, it seems like he's really settled down with you" she assures me.

"It's not that serious" I shrug sipping on my tea, "we haven't been dating that long"

"Time doesn't mean anything, it's obvious how happy you make him" she states, "you've changed him for the better and I'm just so happy he's found someone like you" she confesses.

"Of course I want him to be happy, his happiness is my top priority" I assure her, "but I don't think I'm the reason he's happier" I feel so bad, she's such a nice woman I just want to tell her the truth.

"Trust me darling, you are" she smiles, "he's never even brought a girl home before you, I know he's had girlfriends before but he's never introduced them to me or his father, you're special to him"

"Chloe" Grayson grabs my attention coming into the kitchen, "go get changed I'm taking you out" he tells me, he's already dressed to go.

"Alright" I smile excitedly, "sorry Lisa, I was loving the pictures but I need to get changed" I excuse myself politely.

"Of course dear" she smiles.

I quickly run upstairs to Grayson's room where my suitcase is. I don't know what to wear because I forgot to ask where we're going but he looked casual in a pair of tracksuit bottoms.

I noticed a white jumper lying on the bed, I think Grayson owns it. I put it on and change my pyjama bottoms to black leggings and slide on my checkered vans.

As I'm on my way back down to the kitchen I hear Lisa mention my name. I walk towards the kitchen quietly so I can hear what she's saying about me. I don't usually like eavesdropping but I want to know what she thinks of me.

"I'm serious Grayson" she warns him, "you've got a really good thing going with Chloe and you need to be careful you don't ruin it, girls like her aren't easy to find"

"I know mom don't worry" he assures her, "I'm lucky to have a girl like her, I'm reminded every time I'm with her" he explains.

I know he has to say shit like this so his mom thinks we're real but that sounded so real.

"I'm ready" I smile walking into the kitchen as if I haven't heard anything.

"Great, let's go" he smiles taking my hand and grabbing his car keys off the counter top on our way out of the kitchen.

"Enjoy!" Lisa calls after us from the kitchen as we're leaving the house.

"You're mom is the nicest woman I've ever met in my life" I tell him as we're getting into his car.

"She said the same thing about you too" he adds, "she loves you"

"I'm so relieved" I laugh putting my belt on, "I really like this car"

"Thanks, Ethan got it for me" he smiles, "it's not much use to me in LA since it breaks down like all the time, so I leave it here and my dad takes care of it" he explains.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"For food" he tells me, I should've known, "I'm taking you to my favourite pizza place, you're going to love it"
