It'll be told in Ashton's POV for the rest of the book.
Everything has been going good with Luke and I. Though I didn't completely trust him, I knew that he wasn't going to hurt me again. I had that feeling deep down that things were going to get better.
Luke had texted me and told me to wear yellow today and I didn't own much yellow at all. After digging through my closet for almost an hour, I had decided on a Batman shirt and some skinny jeans.
I slipped the shirt over my head and over my binder and slid into the jeans. Usually I would wear contacts, but decided to skip out on that. I wanted to surprise Luke since he was surprising me so much lately. I put my glasses on my face and ran my fingers through my hair with a grin.
I finished getting ready for school and grabbed a banana on the way out the door.
Once I got up to the school building, I noticed the yellow balloons that were tied to the railing. I found it weird and had wondered who would take the time out of their day to come to the school and decorate it like this. I smiled a little to myself. Whoever did this must really love the person they did this for.
I walked into the building with a huge smile on my face. It's funny how one thing can make you smile and another can make you frown.
----
Luke came up to me and hugged me from behind. "Hi. Good morning." He kissed my cheek and I smiled."What's this all about?"
"Shush." He placed a finger to my lips.
I smiled a little and looked at his shirt. "What's up with the yellow today?"
Luke just shrugged silently, not telling me anything that was on his mind.
"Luke, please tell me," I pleaded and tugged at his sleeve to his shirt. He shook his head and pulled me off his shirt.
I pouted. "I want to know."
"It doesn't mean anything, Ashton. Yellow reminds me of happiness. I wanted you and I to be in yellow because I'm in a good mood today and wanted to share it with you."
I nodded.
"I've just noticed! You're wearing glasses? I think you look sexy," Luke blushed with embarrassment and covered his mouth.
"Sorry, I didn't want that to slip from my mouth," Luke said, "you just look so hot!" His cheeks turned bright red and he looked down.
"I'll see you later. I better go before I destroy myself over this," Luke said and gave me a small peck on my lips before walking away.
I giggled and went up to Calum. "Apparently Luke thinks I'm sexy in these glasses and I'm pretty sure he went off to the bathroom to- never mind." I didn't want to embarrass Luke out of reason.
Calum looked at me. "Say that again?"
I shook my head and just started to laugh with Calum until my sides hurt and my eyes watered up with tears.
----
I opened my locker and a small, yellow tulip fell out of it. I picked it up off the ground and sniffed it, smiling to myself. It smelled like Heaven.I closed my locker and looked down at the floor. I rolled my eyes when I saw a sunflower and picked it up. I don't know what Luke had planned and I sighed when I came across a buttercup. I picked it up and continued to walk to the cafeteria.
By the time I got to the cafeteria, I had a whole bouquet of yellow roses in my hand. I walked into the cafeteria and a senior gave me a yellow rose.
"Thank you." I looked at the senior in a confused matter and she just nodded.
I smiled and added it to my bouquet that I've acquired and sat down with Calum.
"Damn, who loves you?"
I shrugged. "I think it's from Luke. He's been obsessed with yellow all day."
Michael looked at me and smiled excitedly. He whispered something into Calum's ear and Calum just nodded.
"You're right. It is Luke," Calum said and I looked around.
"I don't see him."
"Don't you hear that?"
"Hear what?" I asked and tilted my head to the side.
"He's confessing his love!" Calum said clutched his heart like we were his favorite ship.
Suddenly it seemed like everything grew quiet, though I knew all the talking was making it impossible to hear.
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautifulI hummed along quietly to the song. It was one of my favorites and somehow, Luke had known that.
The song finished, but I was still humming quietly to it. Someone wrapped their arms around me and I smiled.
"Hey, Ashton."
"Hi." I could feel my smile widening and I tried to bite my lip to prevent smiling.
"I have to tell you something, Ashton. Something I've been longing to tell you for a little while, but didn't because I was worried about my reputation.""
I looked up at Luke and stared into his eyes. He blushed and licked his lips to continue.
"Anyways, I realize now that I was completely wrong about everything. I was dumb and I never wanted to lose you. The stupidity I showed though made me lose you. There are a million ways to apologize and say sorry, but I've already tried them all. Let's just start over. What do you say?"
I nodded and wiped the tears forming in my eyes.
I'm so sorry that this chapter took my a long write. I haven't felt motivation to write recently and school's been rough. I found out that my dad is going to be going to jail (he's out on bail right now) and I've learned that my grandfather has leukemia and that his dad died from it. So I'm really sorry that the chapter is just now going up. I've had a lot going on and I hope you guys understand. Thanks for everything.

It's Ashton Not Ashley
