Brian ended up giving her a quick lesson of the night sky which ended up being a little more intensive than Ellie expected, but she enjoyed it more than she expected it too. However, eventually Brian was starting to be a little more detailed on the physics aspect of everything so she told him to stop and they returned to the bonfire, snuggling up under the blanket again. It wasn't really cold, but it was simply much cosier underneath blankets.
For a few minutes they didn't say anything, they simply enjoyed each other's company. It was so comforting to them, and even though it had been a month, Ellie was still getting used to it. It was weird to her that simply being around him had such a calming effect on her. But as so many things about him that confused her a little, she was loving it.
However, with the quiet splashing of the loch in the background, an idea had been forming in Ellie's mind. "Hey, Bri," she spoke up quietly, making him look at her.
"Yes, my dear?"
A small smirk forming on her face, she straightened up. "Want to do something a little bit crazy?"
Brian hesitated visibly. "I don't know. I'm scared to say yes if I'm honest. I've learned that your 'little bit' crazy is my 'very' crazy..."
Ellie chuckled and shrugged. "Don't worry, it's just a suggestion. You can definitely say no if you don't want to, I wouldn't blame you."
"What do you have in mind, Ellie?" Brian asked, a small smile on his face.
"You know how there's the loch right there?" She asked, nodding towards the small lake. "What if we go for a quick swim?"
Brian raised his eyebrows. "Ellie... I didn't bring any bathing shorts..."
That was when Ellie smirked. "Yes, I know... I was thinking... it's dark and we're in the middle of nowhere, we don't necessarily need any swimming clothes.."
Widening his eyes, Brian looked at her. "What do you mean...?" He clearly knew what Ellie meant, but he wanted to be sure.
"Oh come on. We don't need clothes, so obviously we'd be swimming naked." Biting her lip, Ellie looked at him. "C'mon, it'll be fun. I'll make it fun," she told him, placing her hand on his thigh.
"Ellie, are you aware that we're not in the tropics?" Brian asked, glancing at her hand.
"I know, but I can warm you up afterwards. You know, especially since tomorrow night we'll be back with my parents..." When she could tell he was still hesitating, she got up and held out her hand. "C'mon, it'll be fun. Spontaneous and adventurous..."
Brian sighed and took her hand, getting up too. "Okay, fine. You're crazy."
"I know," Ellie agreed and kissed him softly. "Are you sure? You can also wait here."
Brian thought for a moment before he shook his head. "No, no. I'll join you. If you're doing this I want to join you. You're going to be naked and wet, I'm not missing out on that."
Ellie chuckled. "Good, now I know how to get you." She stood in front of him and began to undress him, running her hands over his chest. "I hope you know how handsome you are."
"I know that you believe that, my dear," Brian said, placing his hands on her arms. "Thank you. I'm glad you think so."
They took off the rest of their clothes themselves, more or less neatly leaving them on the stone. It had been Ellie's idea, but she had to admit that Brian had a point when he reminded her they weren't in the tropics. It was chilly, but she had her mind set on doing this with Brian, so she reached for his hand. "Are you ready?"
