Face to face with three of the most popular girls at our school. For what felt like an eternity, I couldn't find the proper words to greet them. My mind drew a blank. I doubt I even had the strength to move my lips and speak. It was like I had forgot how to even talk!

I try to find a safe spot to look. Something to keep my mind off them. But like a magnet, my eyes land on a certain petite girl. Rocking red short hair that stops halfway down her neck and hesitant eyes that shined like twin emeralds. Our eyes lock in a strange, hypnotic embrace. One that made the world around us fade away into almost a dream-like trance. A world just for the two of us. And for some reason, I couldn't look away.

 And neither did she.

"Hey, um, is this the place? For the..you know...party?" The short girl replies.

Time speeds up again. I never even noticed that my world had stood still the moment I stared into those brightly colored eyes of hers. Now that I take a closer look, she really is a sight for sore eyes.

She has short, dark red hair. Which goes slightly past her shoulders, and ends in delicate swirls. Complete with a long, stringy strand that hangs just between her jade-colored eyes. She also wears a dark red sweater. That has a yellow B logo etched on her chest. Along with black spandex pants, and white and red gym shoes. Giving her the appearance of a shy, tomboy. A weird combination, but it had me hooked at first sight.

She has a small figure. Tan flawless skin that practically glows. A round, pretty face. That comes with a pearly white smile, small lips, and large eyes. I heard this girl's name mentioned many times throughout the hallways. Rumors were spread that she turned down every boy that asked her out, and she stands at the top of our school's ace students. So, she has both smarts and beauty.

This girl is Tammy Hudson.

"Yeah, this is the place." I nod slowly. Too awestruck to say anything more. Out of fear of me saying something stupid. That was when the other girl, a long-hair blond with icy blue eyes, pulls a face. Mugging me with her face twisted.

"Well, aren't you gonna invite us in?" The blond girl sneers while leaning in, hands on her hip. Her name is Cadence. A mean-spirited girl with a slender frame. But has a much smaller waist and a large chest for someone her size and age.

"I was just gonna get to that." I say with the fakest grin I could muster. She said her first words to me. Yet I already can't stand her guts. I can sense she feels the same way. So much for first impressions.

The three girls head inside. I start to get a bad feeling. That these girls won't find this party that impressive. Hell, I don't blame them. They're used to going to college parties. Hanging with people way older than us. Exposed to more. Done more and probably partied with the best. To them...we're just a couple of ordinary kids. Just trying to have fun.

Cadence strolls on ahead. Stopping only to set her gaze on the living room. Along with the table set aside filled with delicates.

"Is this suppose to be a party?" She says, swaying her head from side to side. Not impressed.

"Hey, don't say that." The third girl whines in a soft voice. "There's no need to be rude. Who knows how this will turn out? " Ever so slyly, her eyes swoon over to me. "It might even be worthwhile."

This one is Sophie. The most popular of the three. Yet she bears no icy glare nor tomboyish style like the other two. She has flowy, shadow-colored hair that trails like a curtain wherever she goes. Almond eyes that held an earthy charm to them. Light tan skin that was silky smooth to the touch. A model-like smile full of pearly whites that makes her eyes crinkle. Just a tad bit on the curvy side. Along with always wearing the most fashionable clothes money could buy. This time around, she kept it simple. Just a blue and white striped shirt that bared her belly, along with blue jean vest and matching pants.
