Brown eyes. . .

The following morning I woke up to the sun. I stretched and rubbed my face, only noticing that the TV was on a minute or two after my eyes adjusted to the light. I screwed my eyebrows together, confused. I decided to just let it go, I must've just forgotten to turn it off last night. I closed my eyes and rolled onto my stomach, burying my face in what I thought would be my bed. But it was warm. And breathing. I gasped and my head snapped up to see Thomas with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. "Ugh." I said, letting my head smack back down onto his stomach. "You scared me Tommy." "Yeah, I have my ways. So are we going on an adventure today?" I felt my eyes light up as my head jerked up to meet his brown- eyed gaze. "Yes! Wait I mean no." I disguised my excitement and frowned. "What?" He said in a high- pitched voice, a suspecting look crossing his face. I just smiled, enjoying teasing him. He smiled too, and I suddenly realized that we were staring at each other. Weird. And I didn't think I wanted to move. I suddenly had the urge to fling my arms around him and hug him close to me. Very weird. The smile slowly faded from his face. I stared into his deep, beautiful brown puppy dog eyes. I wanted to look away, God I wanted to. But I couldn't. Time stood still and neither of us moved. My heart suddenly fluttered down to my stomach and built a nest where it had little heart birdy babies. This was really very weird. And then just like that, I snapped out of my trance. I stood up quickly and walked to my suitcase, removing my outfit for the day, and then stared piercingly at Thomas, nothing like before. He looked back for a second, then rolled his eyes, "fine, I'll get out." "There's a good boy." I say, smiling. I walked to the door as he exited and he turned around to face me. Then he started panting like a dog and scratched behind his ear. I laughed. "Get outta here you doof." I pushed him out onto the landing outside of my room and shut the door. Suddenly out of breath, I slid down the door to land on the floor. Still clutching my clothes, I frowned.
