Chapter 14

Nathan kisses Camilla on the cheek, greeting her as she walks down the stairs with the girls. His eyes are glued on her and only her.

"I never knew somebody could be this beautiful" He said, touching her rosy cheeks, and smiling at her.

"Thank you. And thank you also for all the clothes and shoes" She smiled.

"Can I get you a drink?", Nathan asked her. Camilla nodded. He walked to the bar and went to get her a drink. Camilla stood by the piano admiring the music while she waited for him. After a few minutes passed, she became impatient and went to the bar to find him. But as she was walking, she stopped right in her tracks. She clearly noticed three beautiful girls go up to him at the bar and flirt with him.

She was curious to see who they were, so she listened closely, trying to hear through the loud voices. She saw one of the girls touch his hair, and another sit on his lap. She instantly felt angry. How could he call her beautiful and then allow girls to touch him like that!?, she thought to herself. Then, as the girls were flirting with him one jumped up and kissed him. After a few seconds, Nathan pushed her off and turned around to see if Camilla saw, but she was not there. He rapidly got up, left the drinks behind and went searching for her. He made his way outside to the terrace and found Adam standing there, confused.

"Have you seen Camilla?" Nathan says out breath.

"You just missed her, she came here and took Adriana. I think they went back to their room. Camilla seemed really upset, what did you do?" Adam questions.

"She saw other girls flirting with me and then she just left." Nathan clarifies.

Nathan and Adam, leave and go searching for Camilla and Adriana. They knock on the girls' door, however there is no reply. Although, Nathan manages to open the door with a spare key he had. He sees Camilla standing on the balcony and looking out at the city, while Adriana is on the couch. Adam takes Adriana into one of the rooms, and closes the door behind them so they can talk in private.

"Adam, why on earth did you think I was flirting with your brother?" Adriana questioned.

"I'm sorry, it's just that, all my life I have been compared to my brother" He said, "Even as children. I guess I just got scared that he would take you away from me" He finished.

"I would never choose your brother over you. You have been nothing but kind to me these past couple of days and I am so grateful for that. But you can't be so jealous all the time. I need you to trust me, okay?" Adriana says while stroking his hands.

They sit there in silence for a moment, until Adam cuffs Adriana's face in his hands, and kisses her gently on the lips. They continue to hold each other, two broken souls healing as one.

Meanwhile, Nathan is looking at Camilla standing alone on the balcony. He walks outside to go join her. Camilla ignores the fact that he's there and continues staring out at the busy city.

"I didn't flirt with them, they flirted with me", Nathan explained. However Camilla continued to ignore him. "I know you probably hate me, but please talk to me, this wasn't how it was supposed to be", he sighed.

"I'm always the one that gets hurt by boys. I let them get close, then they break my heart. What is it about me, why does it always happen to me." she blurted out.

"There is nothing wrong with you. You're perfect. Absolutely perfect in every way imaginable. But I just need you to trust me" he pleaded.

She turned to look at him, her cheeks stained with tears. He gazed into her gentle eyes. His body tried to fight the urge to pick her up and comfort her, but it was no use. Without thinking he leaped forward and kissed her passionately. They remained that way.
