It's been three weeks since Kendall confessed to me. Every day after his confession is filled with joy and love. Owen and Aunt Carrie burst with joy when they heard the news. It's kind of weird because you would think they wouldn't want me to be dating at this age.
"You guys aren't against us being together?" I ask Owen and Aunt Carrie.
"No! Of course not, honey! We're very happy for you. We want you to be happy, and if being with Kendall makes you happy then be with him," she answers.
"Yeah, mom and dad would've wanted you to too," Owen says. "But no inappropriate actions until after you guys marry!" he adds in.
"Ew, shut up, Owen. I wouldn't dare and neither would Kendall. He's patient like that. We're not like you and Lexie, brother." I stick my tongue out, and he blushes immensely.
My social status has not changed whatsoever. It's not like in movies where the girl gets super popular from dating the golden boy or bad boy. I've only gained a few acquaintances, all of whom are nice to me. Some people are salty though. It's not all glitters and confetti when you get to be the girlfriend of the most wanted guy at school, but thankfully, none of them have tried attacking me. They're still civilized enough to not pick a fight.
Now that I think about it, am I his girlfriend? He didn't actually ask for me to be his girlfriend. We just know that we both like each other. "Are you thinking about your Kenny?" Roxie asks in a gullible voice. "Must be great to be the golden boy's girlfriend," she teases.
"Am I his girlfriend?" I ask.
"What do you mean?" She raised a brow.
"I mean, he never asked me to be his girlfriend. Like the, 'Would you be my girlfriend?', kind of thing," I say.
"Well then, would you like me to?" Someone entwines their hand with mine. I turn to see Kendall smiling at me. He kisses my forehead, and I blush. Yes, I'm still shy about these kinds of things.
"I think you should, just to reassure her that you guys are dating." Roxie chuckles. I pout and punch her in the arm. "Ow! Okay, calm down." She laughs.
"Okay then." He turns to face me. "Violet Peres, would you be my girlfriend?" he asks, looking into my eyes.
"Of course. If not, why would I be with you all the time?" I smirk. He chuckles and kisses my hand.
"Okay! Enough PDA. It's making me barf." She pretends to hurl.
"Are you salty because Donnie is out of town? You'll get through it," I reassure her.
"Well, watching you guys being all lovey-dovey isn't helping." She pouts. The bell rings to signify that our last period is about to start, and we gather our stuff for the class.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Violet." Kendall winks at me then nods at Roxie and leaves.
"I have something to do after school, so I'll see you tomorrow too, Vi." She hugs me and goes in the same direction as Kendall.
"Guess I'll just go straight home later then." I walk to my class alone.
The next day, which is Friday the 25th, we have a half-day because of some event the school has. Kendall stopped by my house to spend some time with me, but he didn't stay for too long. He also talked to Aunt Carrie in private before leaving. I called Roxie to see if she was free, and she said she is busy until 8 P. M, so I just watched Netflix for a few hours. I didn't see Owen for the whole day either.
