"So...we're not going home?" I ask Ciel quietly. The carriage hits another bump on this dirt road and I hit my head on the side of the carriage.

"It's a surprise," Ciel tells me. "And--A-choo! I can't wait to get that damn cat out of here."

"Jasper is my child, Ciel. As long as I am here, he is as well," I tell him as I button my shirt around the cat who is snuggled into my chest. "And I don't think you want to send me away anytime soon, right, Young Master?"

"I'm not yet certain what use you could be to me yet. I still don't even know what you are. And hopefully we are on our way to find out. Sebastian has some very...interesting theories about your origin, did you know that?"

"It's strange," I mutter more to myself than to ciel. "Sebastian has made it clear that he has a hypothesis...but he'll say nothing more of it. It's not very fair that you two are keeping secrets of who I truly am from me." The cat in my shirt sneezes and begins to kneed my chest. I don't mind, really, but I feel like I have cat boogers all over my chest. "I think Jasper is allergic to you, Ciel."

"Good, that's just another reason for you to keep that thing away from me." Ciel scoots more into his corner and glares at the lump in my shirt. "Sebastian better have thanked you for convincing me to allow that thing to come near me."

"Sebastian doesn't care," I mumble. I stop myself from adding that fact that he has a ton of cats in his room right now. I don't want to get him in trouble, or have to get rid of his darling little cats. "All he wanted was a cat, he didn't care how he got it."

"What are you saying? Sebastian didn't reward you for your kindness?" Ciel asks with a slight smirk playing on his face.

I blush a little and look behind me to see Sebastian driving the carriage. He can hear everything we're saying. Shit. "Are you asking if we had sex? Aren't you a bit too young to know about those things? Or was it a bit too short?"

"That wit of yours is going to get you into trouble, (y/n)."

"I already belong to Ciel Phantomhive. What more trouble could I possibly get myself into?"

"Sebastian," Ciel suddenly calls. "How much longer do you think this will take?"

"Only a bit longer, Master," Sebastian calls back.

"Where are we going?" I ask the child sitting across from me.

"Manchester."

"Is there any specific reason why we are going to Manchester?"

"Of course there is."

"And what might that be?"

"Young Master," Sebastian suddenly calls to us. "I would ask you to not give too much away to our ignorant little kitten."

"So...I'm a kitten now?" I mumble to myself.

"You should be proud that Sebastian would grace you with such a title," Ciel tells me. He gives a quick smirk before glaring at Jasper again. "Why don't you take some time to rest? I'm certain these next few days will be exhausting for you."

"Ooh," I spit. "More foreshadowing." I move over to Ciel's side of the carriage and press myself against him. "If you're going to make me take a nap, at least let me get comfortable." Ciel lets out a sneeze before I rest my head on his narrow shoulder. He sighs loudly, but doesn't push me away. "Wake me when we arrive."

"(y/n), darling," a voice coos in my ear. I feel myself being lifted up into strong arms and carried out of the carriage. "It's time to wake up, (y/n)."
