I rest my hand atop the large protruding womb I have acquired over these long months. Walking through the garden that Finney insists on taking care of is surprisingly calming. I sit down on one of the marble benches and rest my aching back. "You're going to be a heavy baby, aren't you," I tell my baby as I stare up at the blue sky.
"You're like a cow," someone calls to me. My father smiles slightly and comes to sit next to me. "You graze all day and lie down when you're tired. You're also as large as a cow."
"Did you really come find me out here just to insult me?" I ask him with an annoyed sigh.
"No, not at all. I merely took the opportunity to do so when it was presented to me." My father rests a hand on my shoulder and another on my baby bump. Alois kicks violently for a moment before he stops completely. "I find myself becoming a bit excited for this child--even if it does belong to that demon."
"You don't need to mention him..." I mumble. Sebastian still has not given me any sign that he knows where I am or that I am pregnant--or that he even wants to know. It's beginning to hurt as well as affect my appetite more than my pregnancy cravings.
"I apologize. However, I do have news to give you. Your carriage is about to leave."
"Carriage?" I ask him in complete confusion.
"I thought I told you a while ago..." he mumbles. Yet a small smile graces his lips. "An Indian prince has invited the famous and beautiful Grace to dinner this evening. I accepted for you, of course. You better get to your carriage soon. We wouldn't want you to be late."
"An Indian prince?"
"Prince Soma is his name. He considers himself a personal friend of Ciel Phantomhive. I'm surprised you've never met him, let alone never heard of him."
"I think I might have heard Ciel grumbling complaints about him at some point, but he's complained about everyone he's become acquainted with."
My father lets out a small chuckle and stands up to escort me to the carriage that will be taking me to this Prince Soma.
"So this is the Miss Grace everyone talks about," the prince tells me with his funny accent. His home smells like strong spices and his butler is a little weird. But I will admit that I enjoy sitting on these plush rugs of his. They do wonders for my back. "No one told me that you were pregnant. I'm surprised. Normally illegitimate children are the first things people inform you of."
I choke on my tea and look up at him. This childish prince is a bit more blunt than I would like. "Yes well...perhaps whoever spoke of me did not want you to look down on me before knowing me."
"I heard you worked for Ciel Phantomhive," he tells me. This must be the reason he wanted me to come over in the first place. "Is this true?"
"Y-yes. It is true."
"Ah! This is wonderful!" His face brightens up for a moment before it becomes twisted in sorrow. Gee...this guy's mood swings are worse than mine. "N-now that Ciel is gone..." Tears well up in the strange Indian's eyes. "I-I just miss him so much!"
This "Prince Soma" character lunges at me, wraps his trembling arms around me, and nuzzles his tan face into my neck. "P-Prince S-Soma?" I say a little awkwardly.
"My Prince!" a deep voice calls out. It echoes throughout the room and seems to calm the prince down. I look up through the purple hair that clouds my vision a find what must be the prince's butler. Soma raises his head to look at the fellow. "Are you alright?"
