  *Alice POV*

I hadn't been able to get together with Luke due to the incident with my mom. We continued texting though I felt something different with him. He never came out on the porch anymore. I continously pulled the curtains back to check and see if maybe he was out there again scribbling down some lyrics.

Days were spent begging my mom to still let Gabrielle come to visit for awhile. She finally agreed, yet said we weren't allowed to leave the house. Gabrielle didn't mind as long as we would still be able to hang out.

It was Friday morning and I quickly made some breakfest and went to the bathroom to get dressed and ready for Gabrielles arrival. We regularly would chill in sweatpants, but i knew she'd want to take pictures. I had my phone sitting beside me expecting a call from Gabrielle to say she was finally here, so when my phone buzzed I immediately answered with the words "Hey Gabrielle, how close are you?"

I was suddenly surprised to hear a different familiar voice on the other line. "Uh, Its actually Luke," He mumbled obviously confused. " Oh! I'm sorry I was just expecting a phone call from someone different. What's up?" I was't exactly sure how to conduct the comversation since this was the first time in a couple days we had actually talked not over text.

"Are you still up for going to that party tomorrow night?" He asked. Before thinking I replied, "What party?" Then it finally hit me about Calum's party he told me about on our date. Before he could answer I said, "Oh oh! Calum's party uhm..." Then I remembered how Gabrielle and I werent supposed to leave the house. "I would like for you to be able to come. I can tell you the address. I know your mom definitely won't let you ride with me. Just come if you want to." And with that I saw Gabrielle calling on the other line. "Alright just text me the address. I have to go! Bye Luke," I quickly switched over to the call with Gabrielle.

"Hey! I'm about 5 minutes away," She said right when I picked up. "Ok, I'll go wait outside so you know where to go," We said our goodbyes and I finished getting dressed then ran on the outside lawn of the complex.

Finally her jet black truck pulled into the parking lot. "Gabrielle!" I screamed running over to the drivers door to welcome her with a hug. "Alice! Did you get even prettier?" She joked wrapping her arms around me. "I'm actually sure you did!" I argued back.

I went to help her collect all her bags. She brought enough stuff to stay a month even though she was only staying a few days. We made it all inside in only one trip. Everything was dropped onto my bedroom floor and Gabrielle walked around exploring my room. She came across the curtains and pulled them back. "So this is where the magic happened?" She asked pointing to the balcony. I laughed, "I guess you could call it magic." She smiled and sat down on the bed next to me.

"What are we going to do while I'm here since we can't leave the house?" She complained. "Well I had plans for us to go to a party Luke invited me to bu-" She interrupted, "A party? Let's go!" Her face had lit up. "But we can't...." I replied rolling my eyes. "Have you ever snuck out?" I slowly looked at her a bit worried where she was going with this. When I didn't answer she continued with a smile, "Let this be a summer full of firsts."
