We held out in our room till the lights in the living room dimmed off. Finally my mom had gone to sleep. We spent all last night and this morning planning how this would work out. Gabrielle begged we go along with the plan. Its not like i didnt want to go, I was looking foward to seeing Luke there and being able to actually talk to him in person for the first time in what feeled like forever. It was just risky if my mom were to find out.

"Alright so should we get ready now?" I asked Gabrielle, while beginning to peel the covers off of me. We told my mom we were going to sleep about an hour ago. "I think it's safe now." She said laughing a bit. She obviously had no worries since she wouldn't be getting in trouble. We both jumped out of bed and began digging through our clothes to find an outfit. "What the hell do I wear?" I whispered to Gabrielle from across the room. "Something hot," She answered shrugging.

I went straight for a pair of high waisted black jeans since that always seemed to be a reasonable piece. I threw them on my bed and turned to see what she had picked out. She had a black t-shirt dress layed out and an army jacket beside it. Turning back to my closet, suddenly a glimpse of neon pink caught my eye. It was a bralette that I bought for my 16th birthday but was never allowed to wear it in public, but this seemed like the perfect oppertunity. I changed into my outfit and threw on some black vans while Gabrielle grabbed some wedges.

We quietly fixed our hair and makeup while trying not to wake up my mom. We glanced at eachother to check how we looked. "There better be cute boys here or I dressed up for nothing," She complained. "I think there will be. Just no moves on Luke got it?" I jokingly said. "No worries, he's a pretty boy but I'm going to need a boy with a bit more of a tan." She spoke still keeping her voice low. "Well you'll never find one if we dont leave now." I said walking out the bathroom door trying to hold in my laughter.

We somehow managed to make it out to Gabrielle's black truck with 15 minutes left till party time. I put Calum's address into my phone and directed her as she drove. It wasn't really that far away maybe only about 10 minutes. We hopped out of the car and there were lights all in the house and music loud enough to be heard right when you walked onto the lawn. "I wonder where this kid's parents are?" Gabrielle asked looking around. "I have no idea. I'll ask luke if I ever find him in the crowd i see just from the windows."

A guy with bright red hair and big green eyes opened up the door to let us inside. He had a huge smile on his face, but the scent of alcohol lingered in his breath when he spoke. "Helllllo ladiesss" He said offering to take Gabrielle's coat. She politely refused his offer so the guy shut the door and made his way back into the crowd. "Well this will be interesting," I said turning to look at Gabrielle, but when I turned I saw her already talking to Luke's friend Calum I had met earlier. I saw her gesture to me so I waved and Calum waved back with a smile and yelled to me, "Luke is upstairs" I nodded and made my way up the steps. I realized the upstairs was empty so I guessed this part of the house was cut off from certain guests. The house was huge enough to hold everyone downstairs.

I turned around a corner to try to search for a bedroom with a light on when I ran into someone. "Excus-" I said before stepping back and realizing it was Luke. His face lit up as he spoke, "I didn't think you would make it." he said stuttering his words. "I had to sneak out, which was a risk but I'm hoping this party will be worth it." I laughed a bit looking down at the people dancing to some loud techno. "It'll be worth it if you make it fun."

"How do you suppose I do that?" I asked looking up at him.

"Here...come with me."
