(Authors Note- I realized I made two mistakes in the first chapter. That have now been fixed. First, she has just finished Junior year not Sophmore & her parents have been married for 15 years not 5. Sorry! xoxo thanks for reading)

It was impossible for myself to come up with a reply that would actually reflect how I was feeling at the moment. All I managed to say was, "Please explain." Suprisingly my dad did just that.

"I had been cheating on your mom for two years. A couple months after I met this woman, her name's Monica, she became pregnant. With my baby. I tried to hide it from your mom. I didn't want this. It was a mistake. Eventually I started liking Monica more than your mom. That's when I filed the divorce and told your mother everything. Monica and I are still a happy couple and Stephen, our son, is the perfect little boy." When my dad was finished talking I felt as if I had the rage to take down a whole army. "You fucking asshole." I said this before I realized this was my dad I was talking to. "Excuse me?" My dad asked. He almost sounded as if he found himself innocent. "You are sick. I know you're my dad, but im emberassed you are." My voice was calm because of the fact I wasn't able to take this all in right now. I continued talking, "You treated mom like scum! Did she not mean anything to you? Instead you go fuck some random woman and it turns out love." At this point I could feel tears streaming down my cheeks. My dad attempting to talk, but I interrupted him. "I need some time." With that I hung up the phone and let it fall onto my lap.

I just let myself sob. I don't remember the last time I cried so hard. I wasn't only sad. There was anger and confusion mixed in. Suddenly there was the flicker of a light on the balcony across from mine. Shit. I cursed at myself. Was I seriously crying so loud I woke someone up? The question was answered for me. The tall, lean blonde boy from earlier walked through the door shirtless with just loose sweatpants on. I buried my face in my knees hoping he wouldn't notice me. That would be extremely emberassing. I was anticipating seeing the light turn off and hearing the door close back, but instead all I heard was , "Hey, are you alright?"
