Pearl's POV
"Hi mom I'm home from helping Pale with princess stuff," I said opening the door.
That was our excuse, princess stuff.
"Oh really," my mom said unimpressed. "I know what you did. Queen Amphitrite told me."
My heart sunk. Matthew told? That little shrimp!
"But I mean, we're alive and all that stuff, I mean you gotta let us have some freedom. I'm not in trouble? I mean I can't be, it's an accident," I said. I knew that excuse would never work.
"Pearl, your grounded, end of discussion."
"For how long?" I asked.
"Until the crowning ceremony."
I pouted. "But that's in three weeks!"
"I know. I would have made it longer, but everyone is required to see the ceremony."
"Now go to your room!" My mom yelled.
