Because of you, I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more.

                                                                    ---------------------------------

I woke up with a small aching pain coming from my chest and I sat up with a gasp, clutching onto my shirt.

I remembered to start breathing in and out slowly and calmly until the pain went away and I was was breathing normally again. This was usually a normal thing for me.

I swung the blanket off of me and slowly began to move, sitting at the side of my bed, letting my feet slightly touch the ground. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair frustratingly, only for it to get caught in a few knots in my hair. I glanced at my clock and it read: 8:02. Great I'm late for school, I thought to myself, barely groaning.

I huffed out a small breath and planted my feet on the floor with a plop. Walking over to my dresser, I looked through deciding what to wear and went with a white and grey long-sleeve Nike shirt, with a regular pair of jeans, finishing off with matching shoes.

Quickly changing into my clothes, I covered my feet with socks, then slipped on my shoes.

I went inside of my bathroom and opened up my mirror cabinet. I grabbed out my pain pills and shook two out into my hand, then filled up a cup with water. I placed the pills in my mouth and slowly gulped them down with the water, and set the cup on the counter.

Afterwards, I brushed my teeth and plugged in my straightener. While I waited for it to heat up I started to sing a song that has been stuck in my head for awhile now. "Hello" By Adele. Of course.

I grabbed my brush from the counter and, started brushing out my knots from overnight, until it went through smoothly.

I could see slight steam coming off the iron, to show it was hot, so I turned it down a bit and I started straightening my frizzy hair.

"Hello, its me,

I was Wondering if after all these years

you'd like to meet.

to go over. Everything

they say that times supposed to heal ya

but I ain't done much healing.

He-"

"Hello, Can you hear me? I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be."

Someone suddenly cut me off, from my singing and my head quickly looked over in the direction it came from, and I came face to face with Luke leaning on the bathroom door frame, smiling at me.

"You know you're a great singer?" Luke playfully said with a small smirk on his face. Liar.

"Shouldn't you be at school?" I said unplugging the straightener, and putting some of my hair in front of my shoulders.

"Yea, but I decided to get you since you are always late." he said laughing. I rolled my eyes, playfully punching him on his arm, which he overreacted on. I walked over to my bed and bent down, and tied my shoes.

"Oh and Joe, earlier I have seen you taking a couple of pills... what were they for?" he asked me, plopping down on my bed beside me.

Wait, how long has he even been in my house? That's lack of privacy right there.

"Jordan Marie Wilson, tell me" he nudged me lightly, making my body lightly sift to the side, as I finally noticed I was being silent and ignoring his question.
