(Year 2014)
"11th.....fucking......grade." I smiled, "We made it another year at that shitty school without killing someone."
" I know," Chris said, " we should get an award."
"Plus, that Bitch Jennifer is gone."
"Yeah, so this year is going to be a piece of cake."
We both held each others hands, and held them in the air.
"We're ready for you fuckers!" Chris screamed.
I laughed rolling around in the grass. Me being so goofy the phrase nearly made me piss myself from laughter. I don't even know why.
"Isn't Finn going back." I asked, finally calmed down.
"I don't know?.........Even if he was you wouldn't have a chance." Chris joked.
I playfully gasped. "Bitch," I said, punching her in the arm, " I have a better chance than you."
"I know right I'm like almost his height. Plus if you haven't forgot, me and Jerry are back together."
I quickly became serious. I forgot she was still with that douche. It made my blood boil.
"Really? You're with him again?" I asked.
"He's changed Alex, give him a chance."
I angrily dropped my mouth. "He fucked you, stole your virginity, and fucked your sister. That sounds minor enough to get another chance." I sarcastically said.
Chris smiled and sighed. "I know how it sounds, but you can't just give up on your first like that.... You, keep in mind haven't had your first yet, so you don't understand."
Maybe she was right. But he still sounded like a dick to me.
"Maybe," I said hesitantly, "just don't get hurt again."
"I won't, believe me I've been taking Martial Arts classes this summer. If he breaks my heart I'll break his face. Even trade."
I laughed "Okay, it's getting late we should go." I stood up. The sun was just beginning to set behind the town. The beautiful red and orange colors lit up the sky. Our hill looked over the whole town. Like we were in heaven looking down at everyone.
When I say "our" hill I'm referring to the fact we're like the only ones who go up there. We'd go up there every chance we could since we were third graders.
It's just like we were the only people who mattered when we sat up there.
"Okay, ttyl." Chris said.
I laughed, "I'm sure blondes love that you feed into their stereotypes."
We both lived on the opposite side of town so we both walked down different sides. Facing the sun she'd go west, and I'd go east. My house was closer though. After walking down the hill it took seconds to arrive at the front door.
"Honey, this came in the mail for you." mom said as I walked on the porch. The ragged stairs creeking almost completely blocked her out.
"What is it?" I said.
"I don't know? It looks important."
I looked puzzled at the blank envelope. "To Alexia Hallaway
At 4509 Brimmington Ave." it read. Not even a return address. Doesn't seem important with no return.
I didn't realize how long I store at it until my mom said, "You're not Carrie, Alex." Wow, that was not lame. My mom had no fucking sense of humor.
