Everyone would say that Bokuto Koutarou leads a happy life. Boisterous and a little, no, very pampered, Bokuto Koutarou is like everyone's happy little pill, as well as...everyone's nightmare. Seldom were there people who could withstand and keep up with his moods.

But why is he like that?

Bokuto is stuck in the time when he was a kid. He does not want to remember what happened after he grew up a little.

At age ten, Bokuto and his parents got into a car accident. Both parents died. But soon after that, his aunt took him into her family. She and her husband raised him like he was their own child and loved him wholeheartedly. Bokuto is terribly grateful to them.

However Bokuto does not want to grow up. He is scared that if he does, the same thing will happen and he will once again lose his family.

Alot of people have left his side because of his childish tantrums. He does not care because they are not family. His current team seems more accepting of his tantrums, most likely because he has the reputation of one of the top five spikers nationwide. They did not want to lose such a valuable player. But it's not like he really cares if he gets chased out of the club anyways. During competition, he met an interesting guy from Metropolitan Nekoma High. That guy is probably the only reason he still stays in the volleyball club.

Bokuto runs on court and calls for the setter to toss a ball to him.

He spikes.

He turns.

And he sees a boy with hair dark as night standing by the door.
Something in him clicks.
