"Akaashiiii, do I look ok?"
"Mhm..." Akaashi stares as his boyfriend adjusts his clothes in front of the mirror.
"Yay! Let's go!" Excited, Bokuto pulls Akaashi out of his room and towards the front door.
Akaashi smiles in amusement, "Bokuto-san, it's just the newly opened cafe down the street. Is there a need to dress up?"
Bokuto swerves around and gives Akaashi a look of disbelief, "Of course there is a need. It's a date with my precious boyfriend!"
Saying this, Bokuto grabs both of Akaashi's hands to pull him closer, just close enough for him to press a kiss on the younger male's forehead.
"You are so pretty. I wanna look good for you too." Bokuto's earnest look makes Akaashi shy away.
"Yyou are cute too, Bokuto-san." Akaashi softly mutters under his breath as Bokuto turns around to put on his shoes.
"Ne Akaaaashii! There's someone dressed as a clow-"
Bokuto spins round to find Akaashi looking enviously somewhere else - a couple holding hands not far from where they were. But in a moment, the brief look of envy is gone and Akaashi turns around to quizzically look at Bokuto, "Bokuto-san why did you stop your sentence halfway?"
"O-oh it's nothing," Bokuto replies as he seemingly casually grabs Akaashi's hand, "I was just pointing out the clown over there!"
"Bokuto-san, your hand..."
"Hm? What's wrong with it? It's right where it needs to be!" Bokuto grins and is rewarded by Akaashi blushing.
"People are staring..." Akaashi shyly starts to pull away.
"But what's wrong? I wanna show them how much I love you!"
"You really don't mind?" Akaashi glances up at Bokuto in surprise.
"Mhm! Anything for you!" Upon hearing this, Akaashi realised that Bokuto had seen him staring at the couple earlier, causing him to turn a deeper shade of red.
Soon the two reach the cafe, taking in the wonderful sight of the colourful interior decoration. Bokuto is a huge fan of sweets and this cafe happened to have a large array and variety of desserts. Akaashi found Bokuto plastered to the display case, unsure of which cake or cookies to pick.
Finally, after an unproductive attempt to choose something, Bokuto has Akaashi pick the desserts for him.
Bokuto is a huge fan of chocolate so when the desserts are served, Bokuto finds himself staring at a plate of waffles topped with chocolate syrup and ice cream, as well as another plate with some slices of chocolate cake.
"That's a lot of chocolate Akaashi... Do you like chocolate this much? Not saying that I have any objections since I like chocolate..." Bokuto rambles, drooling over the plates of dessert.
"I'm quite ok with chocolate I just thought you might like it Bokuto-san." Akaashi picks up a small fork and cuts a small piece of the cake.
"Hehe. Thanks Akaashiii you know me the best!" Bokuto starts digging into the same piece of chocolate cake.
"It's really good!" The moment the cake touched his tongue, Bokuto could taste the bittersweet flavour of chocolate slowly spreading in his mouth. The cake was sticky and creamy. It reminded Bokuto of heavenly melted chocolate. Akaashi also seemed to have similar thoughts, nodding along to Bokuto's comment as he cuts another piece off to savour.
"Ne Akaashi! This waffle tastes great too!" Bokuto cuts a small piece and spreads some ice cream across it. "Try it!"
Without thought, Akaashi eats the waffle directly off Bokuto's fork. "It's sweet."
"Just like you."
"B-bokuto-san..." Akaashi is obviously caught off guard by such a sudden pick up line that he turns red.
"Akaashi let's eat before the food turns cold."
"Bokuto-san, technically the food came from the fridge. It should be cold."
"Fine. Let's eat before the ants get to our food."
"Ok Bokuto-san but if I were an ant I would go to you first. Since you are the sweetest."
Bokuto widens his eyes and breaks out into a smile. "That was a good one Akaashi! I like it."
Akaashi cannot help but feel a brief sense of disappointment hearing Bokuto's reply. He wanted to make Bokuto blush too as revenge.
Soon, the disappointment fades away as Akaashi bites into another piece of cake.
